Dance Lessons (Genji x Reader)

Graceful strides swiftly twirled around the living room floor as the young lady danced. She kept reminding herself not to mess up since she has to remember her moves for the team. It was just a fun activity against the girls since there hasn't been much missions or crimes going on. So Tracer decided to have a dancing competition between all the girls and lucky (Y/N) was forced to join. 'Why must this happen to me... damn you Tracer... you ungrateful-' "(Y/N)? What are you doing?" Genjis voice brought her out of thought as she stopped dancing. "Tracers making all the girls do a dance competition against each other, she forced me into it. So now I'm trying to learn how to dance somewhat well." "Well I could help you." "Wait? You can dance? When did you have the time to learn how to dance?" (Y/N) looked at Genji in surprise as he steps up to her. "It was back when Hanzo and I were boys, father and mother made us learn so that in the future we could dance with our loves with grace." "Wow... I didn't know that..." "Well there's not much I say about my past. Now, let's get you in place and we'll begin." Genji straighten up as I followed suit. Doing soft breathing, Genji showed a few simple movements before looking back at (Y/N). "Now you try and copy me. We'll keep doing this until you can handle the easy dance moves." "O-Okay." "And stay calm, you need to focus on your breathing and movement as you dance. Having an unbalanced mind will make you distracted." Genji watched as she copied his movements as she tried to stay calm. Not paying attention, (Y/N) was about to fall backwards until Genji caught her. (Y/N) blushed as she felt his hands on her back and how close he was to her. "Th-Thank y-you." "No problem (Y/N), but next time stay focused, I rather not see you get hurt." "O-Okay..." "Now, let's try it again. And this time keep your focus." With that Genji taught (Y/N) all day how to dance as it was coming near time for the competition. 'This is stupid, I'm not going to be able to win anyway. I see no point in this, next time Tracer tells me that I have to dance, I'm kicking her ass.' (Y/N) thought as she changed into a light green leotard and ballet slippers.  Once done, she watched some of the other girls dance before it was her turn. 'Here goes nothing... I hope Genjis dance lesson helped me enough...' going out on stage, (Y/N) began to dance as elegant music started. Swift kicks, a few graceful twirls as she jumped into the air, and what Genji mostly taught me, Mai and Odori dance styles. Beginning with Mai a calm dance to an Odori a energetic dance until the end. Everyone was amazed by her dancing and was either cheering or shocked, even Genji applaud to her. After sometime once all the girls had preformed their dance, everyone was a to vote on who won. Surprisingly, (Y/N) won causing her to be shocked. "No that so bad, was it (Y/N)?" "Not really... but I didn't think I'd win, I figured Widow would since she's better then me." "Well, you must believe in yourself when you start to doubt yourself. Just know, I will always believe in you no matter what." Genji said before patting her head and disappearing. (Y/N) blushed at his action, but was interrupted by Tracer talking about her dancing. 'I guess... this wasn't such a bad idea... maybe I could get more dance lessons with Genji to be closer to him... thank you Tracer for your crazy ideas.'
