Underground (Young Genji x Monster Reader)

(Y/N) was very young, not knowing much of the over world. Being forced to live underground was a nightmare at times. (Y/N) always stayed around Snowdin, playing with whatever could entertain her. But one day... everything changed when a green haired boy appeared. I watched him in confusion as Sans only chuckled. "Sans? What is that?" "That would be a human, (Y/N). Just be careful around him, you never know if he'll hurt yea." "I promise Sans... wait? How do you know it's a human, or a guys to be exact?" "I have my ways." Sans winked at her before disappearing into his house. (Y/N) sighed at Sans actions before feeling a tap on her shoulder. "Excuse me bird lady, you know where I am?" "Who the hell you calling bird lady?" "I-I'm so-sorry! I-I di-didn't mea-mean t-to af-affend y-you!" The boy jumped back as (Y/N) glared at his short figure. "Fine... I forgive you... and to answer your question, you are in Snowdin." "O-Oh, um. Thank you, but do you know we're I could find the palace? I need to leave the underground and go home before my brother starts to look for me..." "The palace? Look kid, you go there and you'll end up dead. The king will kill any 'human' that falls down here." "B-But I-I ha-have t-t-to g-go hom-home!" The boy said in distress. (Y/N) sighed in annoyance, cursing under her breath for Sans trickery before taking the boys hand. "Fine... but here's the deal, you listen to what I say and what I do, got it?" "U-Um okay miss..." "The name is (Y/N), what's yours?" "I-It's Genji..." Genji said shyly as (Y/N) lead him out of Snowdin. Facing many monsters and hiding from the royal grauds, the two finally made it to the great halls. Looking back at Genji, she smiled at him. "You've been a good listener Genji... I hope to see you again once you've returned to your world." "Thank you (Y/N) and you've been a wonderful guide! I'm sure once I return home, I'll find an easier way to come down here to see you again!" "I hope so kid... I hope so..." (Y/N) said quietly as Genji walked beside her through the great halls. They were soon stopped by Sans, which made her question him. "Sans? Shouldn't you be back home? How did you get here?" "Thats a little secret (Y/N), for now I have a question for the boy..." Sans said as he opened one of his eyes. Blue was within them as he watched Genji closely, while Genji hid behind (Y/N) in fear. "So you finally made it. The end of your journey is at hand. In a few moments, you'll meet the king. Together... You will determine the future of this world." Sans says and he steps forward. "That's then. Now, you'll be judged. You will be judged for every action. You will be judged for every EXP you've earned." "W-What's E-EXP?" "It's an acronym. It stands for 'execution points.' A way to quantifying the pain you have inflicted on others. When you kill someone, your EXP increases. When you have enough EXP, your LOVE increases." Sans said as he sighed. He seemed like something was wrong. "N-No, I ha-haven't hurt anyone! But... what's love?" "LOVE, too, is an acronym. It stands for 'Level of Violence.' A way of measuring someone's capacity to hurt. The more you kill, the easier it becomes to distance yourself." "But I haven't distanced myself, I've stuck by (Y/N) the entire time I was here." Genji shuffled behind (Y/N) nervously, making Sans eye him. "True... but that doesn't explain why you are a level 19... you took out... a lot of very important people to this place..." "I-I did no s-such thing! I-" "I call bullshit! I know what you've done! You took out Toriel and the monsters that were near Snowdin! You even took out the others while keeping (Y/N) distracted on as she guided you here! You were only using her to lead the way and when you arrive to the king, you would take her out once the kings dead!" Sans yelled before pulling (Y/N) away from Genji. Genji held his head down, a shadow casting over his eyes as he smirks. "Well damn... guess you figured it out then skeleton... though, it is true that I was killing all the monsters around me other then (Y/N)... but I could never hurt her, she's different from the others... you too Sans, yet you are causing a bit of a scene here... so I'll make it quick for you and get rid of the king... once he's dead, I can finally be home free, with (Y/N) beside me." Genji looked at Sans evily as his brown eyes fade into a red. (Y/N) gasped in fear and backed up, Sans stood infront of her, trying to protect her. "H-How cou-could y-you Gen-Genji... I-I thou-thought I-I co-could tr-trust y-you..." "I'm sorry that it had to be this way (Y/N)... but don't worry, once the kings dead the barrier will break and you'll be free from here. I'll keep you at my house and take good care of you, I'm doing this for your own good." Genji smiled sweetly at her before attacking Sans. (Y/N) backed away, crying. 'W-What ha-have I-I don-done! I-I-I bro-brought thi-this hu- no, monster to the castle and it was planning on killing the king and would soon hold me captive within his home!' (Y/N) thought as she grew angry. She didn't know what to do as Sans continued to fight, but he was slowing down and losing this fight. With wide eyes, (Y/N) jumped infront of Sans before Genji could take the final blow on him, cutting right throughout her body. Time froze as (Y/N) fell to the ground, holding the deep wound in her chest. "(Y/N)! NO!" Sans yelled as he ran towards her and lifted her head. "W-Why wo-would yo-you d-do su-such a-a stu-stupid thi-thing! Y-You ca-can't di-die o-on m-me no-now! Pl-please!" "I-I'm sorry S-Sans... I caused al-all this, I let you down... if I ha-hadn't guided him he-here, then everything would have be-been fine..." "Shh, shh, do-don't say that (Y/N), no-none of this is your fault! J-Just stay with me, please!" "I... I ca-can't feel anything, I'm so numb... like I'll turn to dust or something... I'm sor..." (Y/N) stopped mid sentence as her eyes closed, soon her body started to disappear. Sans tried to hold onto her, but there was nothing left other then dust. Genji stayed back, not saying a word with his head down. Sans cried at the loss of his friend... the sadness then turned into rage as he stood up, eyes glowing blue. "This... this is YOUR FAULT! MY FRIEND IS DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO KILL THE INNOCENT! SHE DID NOTHING WRONG AND YET YOU KILLED (Y/N)!" Sans yelled as he blindly attacks Genji. He dodged all of Sans moves and looks at Sans, tears running down his face. "You were supposed to die... not (Y/N)... if she hadn't jumped infront to save you... she would be alive." "WELL NOW SHE'S GONE! YOU KNOW WHAT, YOU SAY YOU'RE KILLING ALL THE MONSTERS DOWN HERE, BUT YOU ARE THE TRUE MONSTER! YOU MURDERED THE INNOCENT OUT OF COLD BLOOD!" "AND I ONLY WANTED TO GO HOME! I DIDN'T ASK TO BE DOWN HERE!" Genji yelled as he blocked Sans attack. "Then why don't you just die... restart again... and do the right thing..." "This isn't a game you know... if it was... then I would've done so from the beginning..."
