I love Genji for who he is, I really do. But I hate that I can't be with him, no matter how hard I try to show my affection towards him. Yet it'll be okay as long as he's happy, no matter how much I cough up flowers and blood. "Hey (Y/N), you doing okay? You seem a little pale..." "Huh? O-Oh, I'm f-fine. Just haven't b-been sleeping well l-l-lately." I chuckle nervously at Genji who was looking at me with concern. My heart beats faster as he places a hand on my head and pets my hair. "Why don't you go back to bed, I'll tell 76 that you'll be getting checked out by Mercy. Okay? Now go rest, I can't have my friend getting all sick." Genji says as he walks down the hallway, towards the others waiting for there training. I sigh heavily as I try to control myself.

I couldn't look at anyone as I head back to my room, a tickle in my throat almost causes me to cough in front of everyone walking by. 'Damnit, this is getting a lot more worse then I thought... But I can't let Genji find out what's really happening to me.' I thought to myself, tears in the corner of my eyes as I reach my room to see Mercy standing out side with a concerned look. "(Y/N), I see you finally arrived back. Genji sounded very worried about your well-being. I know you don't like the med-bay, so I figured checking you within your room would make you feel comfortable. That okay?" "Yes Angela, thank you for considering that... Shall we go in?" I ask before Mercy nods her head, taking a step back for me to unlock my door.

Upon entering, I realize that petals were covering my floor as I panic. "Uh, h-how about we fo-forget about this. I-I'm sure I j-just have a c-cold." I try to say as Mercy pushes her way in and her eyes widen. "(Y/N), what is with all these petals? And blood!?! Have you been harming yourself?!?" Mercy question me frantically as I start to cough at the sudden reaction. Petals flutter out of my mouth as Mercy goes quiet, confused on how I did that. "(Y/N)? What was that?" "I'm not sure Angela, this started happening a few months back... I've been coughing up flower petals and then recently blood. I think it's getting worse..." I whisper as Mercy shakes her head, grabbing my hand gently, feeling how cold I was.

"Don't worry, with some check ups and tests, I'll be able to fix you as soon as I can. I've never seen a sickness like this before..." "I don't think there's anything you can do, but I appreciate you trying." I smile weakly as I groan in pain. I cough up more petals and blood, causing Mercy to panic even more. Dragging me out of my room, we head to the med-bay, trying to keep others from seeing my situation. Once inside, she gathers a few doctors to help with testing. I shiver at the cold breeze that came from the vents above. "(Y/N)? Are you okay? You're shivering badly..." Genji's voice appears behind me as I jump in surprise, causing me to cough even more. Genji watches as more petals pour out of my mouth as he freezes up.

"You... You don't have a normal sickness... You have hanukkah disease." Genji says in shock as Mercy stops in her tracks, looking at Genji in confusion. "She has what?" "She has hanukkah disease. Its a love sickness that can kill if they don't receive the mutual feelings from the person they love." Genji says as tears stream down my face as I back away from them both. I was scared of Genji finding out that it started because of my feelings for him. I couldn't stay or things would get worse. I try to get away from Genji, only to be blocked quickly with Genji standing in the way. "(Y/N), who did this to you? Who did you fall for?" Genji questions as I shake my head.

Mercy looks between the two of us before her eyes widen in realization. "W-What? You... You are in love wi-" "Don't! Please don't say anything Angela!" I cry out as Genji looks at Mercy, frowning deeply. "Who Angela, we need to make this stop soon or (Y/N) won't live long." Genji says sternly as I plead for Mercy not to tell. "Are you really that blind?" "What?" "She is inlove with you!" Mercy says as jealousy shows through her eyes. Genji's eyes widen as he turns to look at me, years blurring my vision. "(Y/N)..." "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Genji. I couldn't help it... I feel in love before you and Angela got together! I thought I would move on, but the petals started to appear and it got worse!" I cry out as Genji steps towards me.

Mercy glares harshly at me before walking away from the med-bay as Genji stood there. He starts to shake his head as Genji places a hand on my arm. "Its okay, you'll be fine. I've got you, just hold still." Genji says as he drags his hand up my arms and onto my shoulders. "G-Genji?" "Shhh, its okay. I'll take care of you, it'll be okay." Genji says before wrapping his hands around my neck and begins to squeeze tightly. I struggle against Genji as he puts more pressure I'm on my neck, his eyes became sharp with vemon. I scratch at his hands as my vision starts to fill with black blotches. Smirking, Genji leans forward, placing a kiss on my forehead. "It's time to wake up (Y/N)."
