Beast Of The Night (Werewolf Genji x Reader)

The night time can be peaceful, but when you have a beast roaming around terrorizing the people in Hanamura it's not so nice. For years, every time there's a full moon, a beast of green fur would arise from nowhere and attack whoever it sees. It's attacked few inoccent people and many criminal gangs. Some thought it was a guarded of this place, others thought of it as a curse. No one knows for sure, but at the time, a girl did by the name of (Y/N) had become curious of the beast. Only being there for about three months, (Y/N) knew little to nothing about the beast. She only heard of it from her classmates at school and at the arcade. Sitting at home, (Y/N) sighed and watched quietly from her window to try to get a glimpse of the beast. 'Come on... they said that it would only come out during a full moon each month... I gotta have a picture of it so I can show my friends back in (h/c).' (Y/N) thought as she rested her head agianst the frame. Suddenly, a loud howl caught (Y/N) by surpise as her head shot up and quickly looked in the direction of it. Her breath hitched as a flash of green from the Shimada Catsle once the howling stopped. 'Does... does the beast under the control oof the Shimadas? How, I thought they could only control dragons?' (Y/N) looked towards the gate just as a large wolf appeared, glowing light green eyes shined bright in the night. Seeing that this was (Y/N)'s chance, she grabbed her phone and took a picture. Looking at the phone, she smiled as the picture was clear and perfect when seeing the beast. 'Yes, now I can show my friends about this beast! I can't wait to see their reactions!' She giggled as (Y/N) quickly sent her friends the photo before looking about up. The wolf was just standing there, ears flickering slightly before turning its head in her direction. She ducked down in fear of being caught, but it was no use, the beast had already seen (Y/N) when he had stepped out from his home. The wolf chuckled in his mind as he started walking into the darkness to keep an eye on the girl. He never let anyone take a photo of him before and something made him this time. He could see the girls curiosity and wonder in her (e/c) eyes, oh how they shined so brightly in the night. (Y/N) finally peeked out to find the wolf gone making her sigh in relief yet sad at the same time. Checking the time, she realized that it was near midnight and her parents fast asleep. An idea popped into her head to search for the wolf, but remembered that it has killed inoccent people before. 'Should I risk it... or should I stay? Screw it, I've already showed my friends the beast and if I go, then at least there'd be evidence of what killed me.' She thought before quickly grabbing her hoodie and climbing out the window to the ground below. Remembering what the classmates said, the wolf would appear in the cherry blossom gardens near the edge of Hanamura, meaning which is on the other side. Sighing (Y/N) started jogging across town, avoiding any dangerous places nearby. The beast followed the girl in curiosity as to where she was going. 'Where is this girl going? Does she not care that it's past midnight or that criminals could catch her? Troublesome, yet brave she is.' He thought as he watched the girl enter the cherry blossom gradens. 'So... she came here? Why here out of all places? No matter, I want to see what she's doing.' The beast followed the girl quietly before changing into his human form. Brushing back his hair, the boy hid behind a tree as the girl looked back. "Hello? Is someone there?" Her soft voice echoed through the garden. Seeing that there was no reply, the girl continued towards the center of the garden. The boys heart raced as his tail wagged a bit with excitement. 'I-I've ne-never hea-heard o-of a-a be-beautiful v-voice l-like h-hers be-before. S-She... she sounds like an angel...' the boy thought before following her closer then ever. He couldn't stop staring at her form, it seemed to hypnotize him. The girl stopped as she looked back to see a figure behind her. "W-Who ar-are y-you, wh-where d-did y-you com-come fr-from." The girls shaky voice made the boy stop in his tracks to see his mistake. "I- uh-... I was here in the garden when I saw you come in. I was curious, so I followed you." "Okay then... but why would you be here?" "I would ask the same for you, it's past midnight and you should be in bed by now." "Says to you, you're basically the same age as me! Who are you." The girl said as she took a step back from him. The boy sighed as he stayed in the shadows to keep from showing his tail and ears. "My name is Genji and I'm 14 years old." "Genji as in... S-Shimada?" "Yes, but since I've told you my name and age, you have to tell me yours." Genji said as the girl shrank back. "My na-name i-is (Y/N)... (Y/N) (L/N) and I-I'm 13 years ol-old." "You don't have to be afraid of me. I only wish to get to know you. I've never seen a girl like you around here before. Are you somewhat new here?" "Y-Yes, a-a little b-bit. I've o-only been he-here for three mo-months n-now..." "Well then, I hope to see you some more! You seem like a nice girl to be around." Genji smiled as (Y/N) came forward a bit as the curiosity came back into her eyes. "H-How come you s-stay in the sha-shadows? Can y-you come ou-out?" (Y/N) asked quietly making Genji look at her wearily. "I-I don't thi-think that's a good i-idea... I'm afraid y-you'll run away i-if I show myself..." "W-Why would I-I? Is there som-something wrong?" "W-Would you promise no-not to scream or ru-run away?" Genji asked as he looked into (Y/N)'s eyes. "I-I pro-promise..." "Ok-Okay then..." Genji stepped forward a bit to show himself. His ears flattened as his tail wagged a little as (Y/N) looked at him in shock. "Does... does that mean you're the... beast everyone was talking about..." "Y-Yes..." Genji said as he looked away in shame. (Y/N) hugged him tightly making him stumble back in surpise. "W-What? Ar-Are yo-you n-not afr-afraid o-of m-me?" "N-Not really... but you seem nice enough to be friends with... i-if tha-thats ok-okay wi-with y-you th-that i-is..." "I would love to be friends with you (Y/N)... thank you for understanding me..." "You're welcome Genji... I'm here for you." (Y/N) smiled up at him as Genji blushed a little. Suddenly, dawn was drawing near and made the boy panick. "I-I have t-to go, fa-father will send af-after me if I-I do-don't re-return home soon." "Will I be able to see you again..." "Yes, we can meet up here each night if that's okay?" "S-Sure. I'd love that... I'll see you then?" "Indeed, goodbye (Y/N). Ill see you soon." Genji kissed (Y/N)'s hand softly before disappearing in a flash making her sigh. Realizing that she had to get home soon, she ran as fast as she could home and climbed throw her window. Sighing in relief, (Y/N) took off her coat and laid down on her bed, closing her eyes to only be interrupt by something landing on her hand. Opening an eye, she saw a little note and read it. 'Dear (Y/N), make sure you come to the gardens at 10 tonight, I'll be waiting in the center of the graden. I hope to see you there. And P.S. I knew you were watching me in my wolf form and took a picture, I can gladly let you take more photos of me if you like~ 💚. From Genji' (Y/N) blushed even more as she read the note. She smiled as she closed her eyes and held the note tightly.
