Conventions (Genji x Cosplaying Reader)

"Genji! Please join me at the convention! I didn't pay for your ticket for you to just sit in the hotel all day!" "(Y/N), I am one that does not do 'conventions'. I see it as a waste of time and a great place for a potential attack." "Then you came come with me to protect me. Come on! Please!" (Y/N) whined as she hugged Genji tightly. Genji refused to look at her as he read some reports, growing annoyed by the seconds passing by. Looking at (Y/N) he growled. "If I agree will you stop annoying me?" "Yes! Yes I'll stop annoying you and let yyou have all the meditating time you want!" "I don't meditate all the time you know... but fine, I'll go. Besides, someone has to babysit you anyway. Can't let what happened last come again..." "That was only once... you know I can't help it that a person who was cosplaying Cloud was trying to take me home with them... I would've went if it was the real deal..." (Y/N) muttered the last part quietly, only to earn a glare from Genji. Genji sighed as he watched (Y/N) race off to get changed into her Noctis costume. 'Why did I have to date a nerd? Her damn obsession with anime and video games will be the death of me...' Genji thought before he was interrupted by (Y/N) again with a big smile. "Genji, you want to dress up too?" "I don't have a costume (Y/N)." "I brought your Bedouin costume." "Wait, what? When did you do that?" "I packed it while you were busy meditating before we left." (Y/N) smiled inoccently at Genji as he sighed before getting up. "Fine, but just for today. I swear (Y/N) you set this up just to humiliate me." "Love Genji~." "Love you too (Y/N), but sometimes you kill me." Genji said as he takes his mask off and kisses her before grabbing his Bedouin costume. (Y/N) giggled as she waited for Genji at the door, growing ever more excited by the second. Genji came out of the bedroom with the costume on, adjusting his weapons a bit. "You sure that I'm even allowed in? They might think I'm an insane person with a real sword on my back." "Don't worry, just tell them that its made of homemade materials or something. Just don't take them out of their sheaths and we should be good... maybe." "You are hopeless at times... let's just go before I change my mind." Genji grumbled as he was soon dragged out of the hotel and towards the convention center. Many people around them whispered or watches as they went by, making Genji feel uneasy. (Y/N) noticed Genjis grip tightening as they soon reached the center. "It'll be alright Genji... just relax and try to act normal. Everything is alright." (Y/N) reassured Genji as she hugged him tightly before looking head of the line. After about hour of waiting they were finally able to get in. (Y/N) was soon rushing around the place with Genji following her as she went to every booth in her sights. Genji sighed, but smiled as she took many photos with other cosplayers dressed as Final Fantasy characters. A tap was soon felt on Genjis shoulder as he looked behind him to find a group of people. "Thats a cool costume dude, mind if we get a photo with you? If that's okay I mean..." "I... I guess not. Sure, if you'd like a photo then go ahead." "Sweet, thanks man. I appreciate a lot." The man said before he and his two friends stood beside Genji, posing. Genji looked over at (Y/N) to see her encouraging him to pose as well, making him sigh quietly. Genji posed with his shurikens within his hands, ready to strike. Putting the shurikens away, the group thanked him before they left looking at the photo they took with him. Genji felt a hug from behind along with a giggle. "At least you get to take some photos with other cosplayers. It's awesome to see that... did you at least like it?" "It was... actually okay. I didn't really mind it, I'm very surpised." "Well, maybe other people will ask for a photo with you. Many people seem to be curious about your costume." (Y/N) lifted up Genjis mask a bit and kissed his cheek before covering quickly. Genji blushed as (Y/N) chuckled at his quietness. Taking her phone out, (Y/N) took a photo with him as she smiled. Knowing that they'll never forget this moment.
