Today was different. The asylum let us go outside for a bit after breakfast. They had an enclosed area with benches. "Go out and get some fresh air." They said.

Jerome grabbed my hand as we made our way outside. We didn't do much but sit in the grass. Jerome's head was in my lap and I played with his hair as he talked about his future. He told me that once he got out of here, he would rule Gotham City and have me by his side.

"Imagine the chaos we would cause." He said. "The citizens of Gotham just screaming in terror! Oh the joy!" He said. I rolled my eyes and kissed his forehead. Jerome pouted his lips and I kissed him. I felt him smile.

"Hey! Didn't you hear it's lunch time? Back inside!" One of the guards yelled, making me jump back. Jerome got up and helped me up. We walked back inside the asylum and made our way back to the rec room.

We grabbed our lunch before sitting down. We ate and talked, nothing important. Just then, this guy walked in shouting something I honestly didn't care about. No one did.

We ignored him and continued talking. Then he shouted again and this time he started choking. He was laying on the table and smoke started coming out of his mouth. We got up and we were just confused. We didn't know who this guy was. We didn't know what the heck was coming out of his mouth either.

But the gas filled up the room and I covered my face. Everyone started coughing and dropped to the ground, especially Jerome. I dropped to my knees and tried getting Jerome to wake up. At the same time, I was trying not to inhale the gas but it was no use. I started feeling weak and tired. "Jer..ome..wake...up." I said before I blacked out.

"Violet."

"Violet wake up." I heard. I opened my eyes and freaked out, remembering I blacked out in the asylum. I tried moving but I'm tied to one of those carts you use to move boxes. Jerome, Barbara, Sionis, Greenwood, Helzinger, and Dobkins were tied up too and we were in a line. I was at the end next to Barbara.

There were also some guys in the room, watching us. Just then two people walked in, a guy and a woman. "Welcome everyone. My name is Theo Galavan. This is my sister, Tabitha." The man spoke. The boys started talking all at once. There was nothing that I could understand from them.

"I understand you're feeling confused." Theo raised his hand, silencing the boys. "Scared, a little groggy, but please, relax." He continued. "Today is the first day of a wonderful future for all of you. If you want it." He said.

"Who are you?" Barbara asked. "Well, now, the question is, who are you?" He said. "Now the world sees criminal lunatics. I see brilliance. I see charisma. And power. I see power." He said as he walked down the line. "Yes! Exactly my man." Jerome said. "That is so spooky. That to me is a T. These other bozos, I don't know, but you're singing my song." He said. "Quiet Jerome! Keep talking." Sionis said to Theo.

Theo continued on about how a brilliant group like us would have Gotham tremble. As he was ending his little speech, he stopped in front of Barbara. Sionis seemed to get jealous as he told Theo to keep his hands off of her. He also refused to join the group. Theo was disappointed.

Sionis told Theo to let him go and in return he'd give him a million bucks. Theo refused and had his guys untie him. "You have to go. Tabitha will show you out." Theo said. "If I'm leaving, I'm taking Barbara with me." Sionis said. "Trust me. Barbara doesn't want to go where you're going." Theo said. Then Tabitha pulled out a whip and strikes it at Sionis, wrapping it around his throat and choking him. She pulls the whip and he falls to the ground.

She gets on top of him and pulls out a knife. She starts stabbing him and the boys just watch in awe. Barbara and I, on the other hand, are a bit scared and shocked. "Anyone else want to leave?" Theo asks.
