As I turned around the corner, I saw an open door with a few guards standing outside. I still had the knife so I grabbed it and threw it at one of the guards. It hit him in the chest and he went down. I waited for the other guard to walk towards the corner. I jumped out and slapped the gun out of his hand. I kicked him in the groin, making him bend over, and snapped his neck. He dropped to the ground, dead.

I made my way to the door and peeked inside. It was Strange with another doctor. "Amazing. Mind control, invisibility, and teleportation. Her body adapted to it so well! We succeeded Ms.Peabody." Strange said to the woman. "Yes we did." Ms.Peabody said.

"Thanks for letting me know my powers!" I said to Strange. He stood there in shock and before the guards could grab me I teleported out of there. I ended up in front of the police station. I had to let Jim know where I've been for the past couple of days.

I walked inside and went straight to his desk. "Violet! Its so good to see you! Haven't heard from you for days." He said. "I know. About that, I need to talk to you." I said. I explained the whole thing to him. "I'll have to go check it out myself. You said it was in Arkham?" Jim said and I nodded my head. "Alright. I think you should go see Nathan. He's been worried about you." Jim said and I went to the file room.

The door was open but Nathan was looking down at the files. I knocked on the door and he looked up. His eyes widened and he immediately got up and went over to me. He hugged me tightly. "Where have you been?!" He said. "It's a long story." I said. "I've got some time." He said. "It's gonna sound crazy." I said.

"Just tell me what happened. I don't care if it sounds crazy I wanna know what happened to you. You were gone for a few days." Nathan said. "I was kid napped. I was taken back to Arkham and this guy named Strange did some weird experiments on me and i was trying to escape. Thanks to his experiments I was able to escape but it was hell trying to leave that place." I said.

"What do you mean experiments? What did he do?" Nathan asked. "He injected me with stuff and now I've got..powers I guess." I said. I kept teleporting from one side of the room to another. "Woah." Nathan said. Then I turned invisible and watched Nathan look frantically around the room to see where I was.

"Where did you go?" He said. "Right here." I said in his ear. He jumped back and looked confused. "I don't see you." He said. "Are you invisible?" He asked. "Yes." I said grabbing his hand. He looked at his hand. I appeared and he smiled at me. "That's amazing." He said. "Yeah and I can control minds too but I don't wanna do that to you." I said. I let go of his hand and sat down at the desk.

"So did this Strange guy hurt you?" Nathan asked. "Like punching me and stuff no but the shots he gave me did leave some bruises." I said, showing him my arm. "Damn." He said. "Yeah my arm is still a bit sore but it's fine." I said. "Did you tell Jim about him?" He said. "Yeah. Jim said he would look into it." I said.

It stayed quiet for a bit. Nathan looked like he was thinking. "You said you were taken back to Arkham. What did you mean by that?" Nathan asked. "I was in the Arkham asylum for a while." I said. "I had done something bad and I was there for a while but I escaped--well someone took me out of there." I continued. "But more things happened after I left Arkham and then Jim found me. He wanted to take me back to Arkham but I refused, i hated that place. We made a deal and I stopped doing bad stuff and he let me work here." I told Nathan.

Nathan seemed like he was trying to process what I told him. He didn't say anything and I was feeling uncomfortable. "I'm gonna go." I whispered, getting up. I quickly left before Nathan could react. I went over to the M.E room where I knew Lee would be. "Violet!" Lee said. She took off her gloves and washed her hands. "Where have you been? You must've partied hard at home huh?" Lee joked, bringing me in for a quick hug.

"Uh yeah I was gone for a few days but no I didn't continue celebrating. I was actually kid napped." I said. "What?" Lee said. "Yeah I went to therapy at Arkham and they just didn't want to let me go and they experimented on me and I escaped and now I'm here." I said. "They experimented on you?" Lee said. "Yeah they injected me with..stuff." I said.

She walked over to the cabinets and grabbed a syringe. "I'm gonna do some blood tests." She said, grabbing my arm and wrapping a band around it. She took some blood and started asking me some questions like "do you feel weird after the shots", "do you know what they injected you with", and "have you told Jim".

I replied to her questions by telling her that I now have powers and Jim said he would check out Arkham. "I'm fine Lee I promise." I said.
