>Violet<

I woke up the next day, very sensitive to light and sounds. My first hangover and I was by myself. I groaned and turned to my side. There was a note underneath a glass of water and painkillers. I removed the note and read it.

Violet,

After you left last night, I got worried and called Jim. He found you sitting on a bench, crying. I'm at work but I left you these painkillers for the headache. There's a pot of coffee ready for you in the kitchen. There's leftovers in the fridge but you're welcome to make whatever you'd like. I knew you would be sensitive to light so I made sure all the curtains were closed.

Lee

I took the pills with the water and got up. I felt horrible. Everything got dizzy and I had to steady myself. I grabbed the blanket off the chair in my room and covered myself. I walked out to the kitchen and poured myself a cup of coffee. I went to the living room and turned on the tv.

It was on some cooking channel and I groaned at how loud it was for me. I grabbed the remote and turned it down. I searched through the channels to find something else to watch. A&E seemed to be having a Bates Motel marathon so I watched that.

I didn't really feel like eating since I felt horrible and I was also hooked on Bates Motel. I spent the whole day watching Bates in the dark. Until Lee came home.

She set her stuff down and went over to the kitchen. She came into the living room with a cup of juice. "Today was busy!" Lee said. "Lot of dead people?" I asked. "No not really just a few bodies to examine but they brought in a bunch of guys that got into a fight. It looked pretty bloody." Lee said. I nodded. "So what are you watching?" She asked. "Bates Motel." I said.

"Did you eat anything?" Lee asked. "No not really. I feel horrible." I said. "Violet." Lee said. "I'm really not hungry Lee." I said. She sighed and got up and went to the kitchen. She came back with a banana. "Here it helps settle the stomach." She said. I grabbed the banana and ate it.

She went back to the kitchen. I heard her heating up leftovers. 5 minutes later, she came back with food. "Eat." She said. I grabbed the plate of food and ate while watching Bates.

We spent the rest of the day watching tv. I checked the time and saw it was 8. "I'm gonna go shower." I said. I got up and went to my room. I grabbed my towels and went to the bathroom. The shower seemed to help my drowsiness.

When I was done, I wrapped my body and hair in towels and I washed my face. As I washed away the face wash, I saw a figure behind me through the mirror. I quickly dried my face and looked behind me. There was nothing.

I picked up my clothes and threw them in the laundry basket. I turned around and there was Jerome. I gasped and held my towel. "Relax." Jerome chuckled. "What are you doing here?!" I whisper-shouted. "Came to see you. Duh." Jerome said. "Well as much as i like seeing you, you need to go before Lee hears us." I whispered. I pushed past him and went out to my bedroom.

I went to my drawer and grabbed my underwear and bra. "Damn babe that looks good." Jerome smirked. "Oh my god. Get out!" I said. I quickly put it on and walked over to my closet. I grabbed one of Jerome's shirts and put it on. "I see my shirts still look good on you." He said. "J." I sighed.

He was resting comfortably on my bed. I plopped down next to him and shook my head. "You're not here. Leave." I mumbled. "What? Babe I am here." He said, sitting up. "No. No you're not. I'm imagining you." I said. Jerome reached for my hand and grabbed it. "You feel that? I know you do." He said.

I didn't say anything and just looked at our intertwined hands. I pulled away and left. I went downstairs. "Hey I'm gonna go get some rest." I told Lee. "Oh you're not going to finish Bates?" She asked. "Nah I'll rewatch it tomorrow or something." I said and she nodded her head. Her focus went back on the tv and I went upstairs.

When I entered my room, Jerome wasn't there and I sighed in relief. I laid down in my bed and turned off the lights. "Goodnight babydoll." Jerome said. I didn't say anything as I turned on my side, my back facing him. I closed my eyes and quickly fell asleep.
