I woke up the next day to Jerome humming a song while walking back and forth. "J?" I said. "Oh morning gorgeous!" He said, stopping for a short moment before continuing to walk. "What are you doing?" I asked, sitting up. "I am..trying on some clothes..to see which outfit..would be nice to..see my dad." He said whenever he'd step out to the bedroom from the bathroom.

"Your dad? J stop come sit." I said. He followed my instructions and sat beside me. "You're going to see your dad? What's this all about?" I asked. "I'm gonna go pay dear old dad a visit and maybe kill him." He shrugged. I lightly chuckled.

He got back up and started going back and forth again. I got up and stopped him. I went through his clothes and chose an outfit. He put it on and I went downstairs for breakfast.

"Do you want to come meet dear old dad before he dies?" Jerome asked. "Nah it's something between you and him." I said. He nodded his head and kissed my forehead. "Theo's sending Tabitha with me." He said. He grabbed some food and sat down with me. "Are you going now?" I asked. "No a little later." He said and I glared at him.

"What?" He asked. "You woke me up for a mission that's going on later?!" I said. "Sorry babe. I had to find something to wear." He said. "You're worse than a girl." I mumbled and he chuckled.

A few hours later, Jerome told me he was leaving and he would be back soon. I stayed at the apartment all bored. "You and Jerome have developed quite a relationship." Theo said. "Yeah." I said. He stayed quiet as if he was thinking. "I have a surprise for the both of you. When Jerome comes back I'll tell you." Theo said.

I was a bit curious about the surprise. I wanted to know what it was. But I had to wait until J got back. I sighed and went upstairs to my room. I decided to take a nap. I was tired from Jerome waking me up early.

"So how ya doing?" I asked my dad. No reply. "Silent treatment eh?" I said. "Here I'll tell you a story. You remember Kansas City, Dad? The circus went through town every spring right around my birthday. There was this guy. Him and my mom used to drink and fornicate and beat the crap out of me. They'd make a whole night out of it." I said remembering the awful times.

"And I remember one time, it was my ninth birthday, him and my mom had just finished round one of boozing, boning, beating up Jerome, and were deciding to take a little break." I said as I walked over to the kitchen and picked up a knife. "Anyway! I was outside the trailer, and you were there. And you said, 'Why are you crying, Jerome?' 'It's my birthday. And my mom and the snake guy are beating me.'" I continued.

"And then you said, 'This world doesn't care about you or anyone else, Jerome. Better to realize that now.' And that was it." I said, turning towards him. I walked over to him with the knife in my hand.

"You see, there's this guy dad. He believes in me. He thinks I'm gonna be a star. And tonight, all of Gotham will see that too. Except for you. Cause you'll be, you know, dead." I said. "Jerome-" "Oh is this the part where you say how sorry you are, hm? How you should've believed in me? How it's not too late to start again? Newsflash dad, it's too late." I growled.

"You don't have to do this." Dad said. "No I'm pretty sure I do." I said. "I was a bad father but I did love you. To kill me for that." He said and I cracked up. "That's not why I'm gonna kill you!" I said. Then I explained how he has letters in braille, plans to the Arkham Asylum, and the knockout gas. I planted them on him. Theo didn't want people suspecting it was him and since dear old dad helped cover up moms death, why not make it seem like he helped me escape.

But my conversation with dad had to go by quicker since detective Gordon and his partner, Harvey found us. So I killed dad and Tabitha and I hid. They came inside and got a whiff of the knockout gas. Harvey completely dropped but Jim was hanging on. I had a little chat with him but Tabitha wanted to be the one to knock him out. So I gladly let her and we left.
