A/N yoooo here's the first to the school series again ! I know I did them before but come on, they're so fun to do ! Sorry for any typos. It's done on my phone lol

Luke was the dude on campus that everyone knew, but no one talked to. He was the guy all the girls wanted to get with, but because of his unbelievable appearance, all of the girls were too shy to say a word to him. & the boys hated him for it.

With his slicked back quiff, or messy bed head. His skinny jeans that made his legs look like he was a walking god, and his band tees that were sometimes torn or covered in a leather jacket, no one really did have the balls to talk to him.

And it just so happened, you were stuck being sat beside the most intimidating guy on campus.

Rumours made you nervous, hearing about how he was transferred from school - to -school because of fights, or the ones about how he's one of those mysterious guys who just people - watch all day, never saying a word and then disappearing off the face of the earth?

Yeah. You had no idea what to do when he sat down next you.

His hair was slicked back, feet in brown suede boots, skinny jeans with the knees ripped,a  dark blue v neck was tight on his chest and his leather jacket hung over his left shoulder. The boy smelt like mint and radiated heat as he sat down.

A few of your friends were sneaking glances, winking at you or looking terrified for you. You had no idea what to even think of the situation, but you managed to squeak out a small "Hi".

Grabbing Luke's attention, his eyes were wide but brows furrowed as he slowly turned to look at you. "I should just run right now, never look back and keep going" you thought to yourself.

"Hello, how're you?" Luke's voice was soft and quiet, his eyes had softened completely and only a glimpse of a smile was shown as his cheeks blushed. You couldn't believe it.

"I-im fine. H-How are you?" You squeaked out again, only this time you weren't scared.  You were completely shocked at how gentle his appearance became.

"I'm quite alright, being the new kid sucks though" Luke said, lightly laughing. You chuckled a little too, but looked at him confusedly.

"It's been a few weeks into the term, you couldn't possibly still be considered as the new kid?" You said. Half lying, but also telling the truth.

You knew everyone thought of Luke as the new kid still, but you never could understand why they still considered him to be 'new' when it was already a few weeks into school starting.

"If I'm being honest, not a single person has spoke to me besides staff. Even then, it's short lived." Luke said sadly, placing his jacket onto the back of the chair and shifting nervously.

You were shocked, had no one at all seriously encountered this kid yet?

"Well.. I'm y/n. I'm sorry you haven't had any luck with meeting new people." You said, offering him your hand to shake. People were staring, you both knew they were.

It was still a few minutes before the final bell and usually everyone was busy chatting about their weekend, but their attention was on you and Luke.

"I'm Luke, thanks for being the first. Your uhm, friends? They're staring.  Should I uh, move seats?" Luke asked hesitantly. You let out a laugh, shaking your head.

"God no! Them? They're all just.. well, I guess- look, if I'm being honest.. everyone's sort of scared to talk to you. Rumours, they're lovely things. But don't stress over it, they're all probably more than happy knowing you're actually approachable." You said with a hopeful smile, Luke nodded and let out a small giggle to himself.

"Well maybe now they know it's fine to talk to me. I suck at making friends, I was too scared to talk to anyone. I heard the rumours, it's kind of intense isn't it?" Luke asked, lightly laughing and you nodded.

"To clear the air, I never once got in a fight in any of my years of school. Unless you mean accidentally clothes-lining someone in red-rover, then I'm guilty." You laughed and he smiled widely.

"But I moved here for the music program, I really liked the sounds of it it. Plus I heard the people here are great." Luke admitted happily as he heard you letting out a giggle at his mention of red-rover.

"Well, I'm glad then. You're welcome to sit beside me at anytime, and please do feel more than free to wave to me in a hallway or something." You said, a nervous feeling coming over you as you thought of become decent friends with Luke.

"I will, definitely.  Yeah- okay, cool. Cool. So uh,  do you have lunch after this?" Luke asked and you nodded happily, telling him he could go with you for pizza after class.

And that, is how you and Luke ended up being inseparable during university. Attending the frat parties together, all the schools sports games and spirit weeks, and all the summer and fall formals.

Your friends became Luke's friends, and Luke had made friends of his own in his music class as well.

And maybe, just maybe, your friendship had grown into something a lot more.
