The Notebook Quote; Luke

"So it's not gonna be easy"

You had just finished your usual day, coming home with take out & deciding you'd just relax until your skype call with Luke. An hour or so passed as you scrolled through your social media accounts, avoiding Twitter since you had already known it would just be a bad place for you to go. Eventually the call came through, Luke was sat in another hotel room by himself, sitting cross legged on the bed with the laptop infront of him. His beard looking like it was over grown, his eyes droopy and a bit red and his hair was a mess. immediately you knew something had gone wrong,

"Luke, what happened?" you asked softly. Luke sighed, shaking his head. "Just a bad day, I couldn't focus in any of the interviews, there's so much hate going around on Twitter because of our relationship and I guess it's starting to get to me" He was quiet, running a hand through his hair.

"I'm sorry Luke" you whispered, knowing that there's was really nothing you could do to help and the fact that you couldn't physically be there to help him hurt you.
You had never seen Luke this upset before, which left you confused and unsure of what to do to help.

"Don't be sorry y/n it's not your fault. It's just been a rough day..I miss you" Luke said, wiping under his eye.
"oh Luke, please don't cry. There's nothing we can do, and I wish I could help you" you said, trying not to get upset as well.

"I know babe, it's just hard. Sometimes I get so worried that you'll get tired of the hate and you'll leave, or maybe you'll just leave because of how busy I am and there's nothing I can do about it and it hurts so much" He choked out a sob. Your heart broke just at the idea of him being worried about you leaving him, which you know could never happen.

"Luke." you said seriously, he continued to looked away as he wiped his eyes. "Babe look at me" you said softly, he looked up at the camera. "I'm not going anywhere, when we decided to become a public relationship I'll admit I had no idea what I'd be getting myself into" He sobbed again, and you sighed. "But that doesn't change the fact that I love you, I'd go to the ends of the world to be with you. No pun intended" he laughed lightly as you smiled. "I'm not going anywhere, It's gonna not gonna be easy, it's gonna be really hard... but I know we can pull through alright?" you said seriously, he gave you a soft smile and a nod of his head.

"I know baby, I'm sorry I'm such a mess right now" He laughed lightly, wiping his sleeve under his eyes. "I think I'm gonna go and play same games with the boys, I'll call you again later if you're up okay?" He said, shifting in the bed.

"Sure thing babe, call me whenever I got some stuff to catch up on so I'll be up for a while. I love you" You said happily, knowing he was going to be okay. "I love you too y/n thanks for this talk" he said calmly, waving at the camera before ending the call.
