I didn’t know where he was taking me until I saw the staff with the intertwining snakes around it, that was when I figured out he was taking me to a doctor. Interesting to say the least.

The room he walked me into was as sterile as sterile could be. Even the air felt clean, and it was a castle made of stone. The room was stark white clean marble.

A man dressed in a white dress paced around the room, a row of twelve cots lined the wall on Damien’s left. Then there was a curtain separating that side of the room.

“Sir?” The doctor turned warm hazel eyes to look at us.

Damien walked over no urgency to his pace, he was completely calm about the fact he was going to force me to see a doctor.

“What are you doing?” I hissed in his ear, I wasn’t afraid of doctors per say, but I had never had the need to speak or see one for any reason.

I was more so leery of them because I had never had to trust them, “You were just attacked, even though your healing exceptionally well there is still the fact that you are not awakened and thus will retain some of the wound. I will not risk you or the child’s life.” He sighed walking around the curtain revealing a single bed area with chairs set around it.

“But I don’t need to be looked after like this.” I murmured nudging him.

Ignoring me he set me down on the cot and turned waving the doctor over, I pulled my knee’s up against my chest and stared at them both as they leaned in close to whisper to one another. Then the doctor pulled away and walked over towards me, he smoothed out his long white dress like robe with his hands

“Alright, so just a routine check-up right?” He asked looking over his shoulder at Damien.

“Yes, I just want to make sure that she’s healthy. Her trip here was less than ideal.” He said walking over to stand on the other side of the bed.

“Hello Ashleigha, I’m Karvin.” The doctor held his hand down to me.

I took it graciously, “Hi.”

My response made him chuckle, he retracted his hand and instead reached out lifting my hair up so he could look at my ear.

“Could you stand up please?” He asked letting my hair go.

I glanced at Damien and he nodded me up, slowly I slid from the bed and stood up. Karvin moved around the bed his dark brown eyes scanning me up and down. My arms wrapped around my abdomen nervously, I didn’t like this it felt weird.

Karvin came to stand in front of me, the light glistening off of his bald head. I mean he was clean bald no eye brows eyelashes, nothing. Creepy.

“Hands at your sides and try and relax.” He said with a soft smile.

It took effort but my body slowly relaxed back and I let my arms hang at my sides. Karvin reached up his hand sliding down my right cheek wrapping loosely around my neck, instantly my shoulders tightened and I looked at Damien next to me.

“Relax Asha he isn’t going to hurt you.” Damien sighed.

Karvins fingers slid underneath the lace neck of the dress and he tore right through it ripping down to my belly button. I screamed bringing my hand across his face, he toppled over onto the bed and I dropped to my knee’s my arms crossed over my chest holding the dress in place.

“Damnit, he wasn’t going to hurt you.” Damien snapped crouching down next to me, his hand neared my shoulder and I flinched away from him.

“Your idea of hurt is very different than mine!” I shouted at him.
