Ashes to Ashes
Dust to Dust
I'm putting my beloved Aunt down
so being strong for my family is a must
There will be no more smiling faces
No more calling my name
No more hearing your voice
am definitely going to miss that, its a shame
If tears could bring you back
I'd cry you a river
But God needed you home
thank goodness you left as a believer
Its not easy being here without you
waiting for you to get home at 5
you would say shante' I missed you
and I would say I missed you too, no lie
Who's gonna call me at 11 pm to braid their hair
then ask me why I took so long
I can't believe you left me Annie
its not fair
The night you left me, I remember it so clear
if I could've took the pain away
I would've definitely volunteered
The hardest pain is missing you
and knowing you'll never be home
Gosh, why did you had to leave me
I feel like am going insane
No one knows my pain
or how many tears I cried
if they said you could be cured from depression
they definitely lied
Christmas won't be the same without you
especially December 3rd
before you left me
death was just a word
Annie I miss you dearly
my love for you remains the same
and the day you closed your eyes
the petals from the roses dropped
and it rained
The angels cried tears of joy
because a rare diamond they gained
but your family cried tears too
and it wasn't tears of joy it was tears of pain
Even though am standing here looking at your face
I can't believe my motivator up and left me
to figure the world out on my own
Every time I look up I'll always remember you
but to me now the sky is gray
it wont ever be blue
Sleep on Annie
and take your much needed rest
the family will try to move on
we won't succeed but we'll try our best
Rest in peace Annie
until we meet again
when the heaven gates would open
it'll be a glad reunion day my friend.
