~Karabo's POV~

Lights. All I could see were lights. I could also hear some unknown voices talking,

"Matthews, there!" one would call out

"I got it, Sprouse." would say another

"Sprouse, check his knee."

The doors opened and a tall figure walked in. My eyes had now cleared out and I could see all the doctors walking in.

A tall magestic figure arose. His hair cut into a fade, his eyes crystal. His skin light skinned, but not to light to make you question his nationality. He looked African. I could tell he was African. His walk was elegant, but still had the African touch. I supposed they got the best doctors they could find. And Africa has some pretty good doctors. His body looked stiffened, yet relaxed.

He walked over to us and made the other doctors look foolish when he finally spoke.

"Guys, it's pretty obvious, all he did was hurt his knee and sprain his ankle. If he makes it in as the fastest loser, he'll be alright and fit enough to run next week during the semi's."

All of them blinked, staring at each other puzzled. Immediately it hit me. I didn't recall myself finishing the race. I remember falling, everything was spinning. Even though I could hear and feel myself in pain and agony. I remember hurting my leg, but the details not very clear.

But now they were, clear and vivid.

Suddenly, the doors which had just closed, pushed forward again. And I saw her.

The most beautiful girl on this planet. Allyson. She looked tired, her hair messy and wet from her sweat. She still shined though. Her bloodshot eyes widened when she saw me awake.

"Karay!" she yelled, as she quickly rushed herself to my bed. "Thank goodness your okay. I was so worried."

"Don't you have a race?"

"I'm just from there."

"How was it?"

"I won. Anyway that doesn't matter. How's your leg?"

Before I could answer, she turned to the doctors and marched right up to Dr Matthews.

"I thought I said, fetch me when your done. You seem really done to me." she narrowed her eyes, and pointed her finger to his face. She seemed really annoyed though.

Her now calm eyes, widened again, when she laid them on the elegant mysterious light skinned doctor. I won't even lie, I felt a little jealously. She never looked at any guy like that except me. Why was this sudden new doctor such a big problem.

She shook her head and looked again, walking closer towards him. She then suddenly stopped and turned around to walk to me. Once she reached my bedside, the doctor walked up to us slowly.

"How is he?" she called out, hearing his footsteps.

"He'll be alright. His knee is hurt, and he sprained his ankle. He'll be ready for the semi's if he makes it in. Although, if he puts too much pressure anytime in between, he might worsen his state, and lose it all. Keep him at bay." he said as he walked, slowing his steps as he got closer to us. To her.

I couldn't help but feel jealous? I don't know what I was feeling, but what ever it was, I didn't enjoy it very much. It was as if they knew each other, but how? How could they possibly know each other.

Turning her head slightly, Ally looked dead into my eyes, before speaking.

"He'll make it, and he'll win. I'll keep him at bay, thank you."

The doctor had finally reached us, and was on the other side of my bed. Everyone was now staring at the two talking people and me. I was looking at Ally, attempting to read her face.

Nothing. I got nothing, her face was completely unreadable.

"How have you been, Allyson?"

His voice was light, and it seemed to sing like the angels.

"I've been broken, but now, thanks to him. I'm alright. Either that, or I'm used to the pain. But I blame Karay for my happiness." she said giving me a smile.

He then looked at me, and winked.

"Thank you for fixing her, Karay."

"Karabo actually. Karabo Sibanda, only she calls me Karay, I believe it's her personal nickname. I understand though, I call her Ally." I answered. "But, your welcome. I think."

He smiled before giggling a little. What, did I say something funny? Or was there something on my face? I didn't understand.

"I called her Al."

"Interesting."

"That was a long time ago, Kgosi." she entered

"Too long," he responded. "Oh, I'm Kgosi Thateho. She and I have history together."

"Oh." That's all I could say. And in fact, I had struggled. He and her had history together. Great, how was I supposed to compete with them having history together? What ever that meant.

I can't believe this. Wait. It just occurred to me, Ally won her race. GO ALLY!

I turned to her, but before I could talk, Kgosi beat me to it. In fact.

"Congrats."

"Congratulations, Ally."

"Thank you, but for what?

And again it happened.

"Winning your race, duh."

"oh, right."

Was he reading my mind or something? Or maybe, he wanted Ally just as much as I wanted her. No, wait. I want her more.

This Kgosi Thateho was definitely going to be my biggest problem.
