They left early the next morning before anyone else was awake. Genna tiptoed last out the door wearing a pink tank top and a white skirt. Alvina wore ripped jeans and a blue tank top because of the extremely hot weather. Sage that morning put on a green tank top with the words brains over beauty on the front. They were about a mile away when Genna and Alvina got into an argument.

“Why would you rather turn invisible?” Genna asked. “Flying is way better.”

     “How so?” Alvina remarked.

“Because if you could fly you could get to places twice as fast as walking.” Genna thought she had won the quarrel. “What is so great about turning invisible?”

“I could steal things more easily. Than we would have food right now.” Alvina retorted.

Genna’s smile faded, “That is so true.” She rubbed her belly, “But I don’t really eat anything other then nectar and ambrosia.”

“I’m sorry, Genna. I didn’t think to grab any for you. I just brought some candy bars.” she threw one to Alvina.

Alvina decided to lead the way for a little bit, and found what she was looking for two hours later. Her eyes widened as she saw the town with its bakery, candy store, and vending machine’s on every corner. She spotted the perfect one over by the public restrooms.

“Over this way.” she began to walk to the vending machine.

“Where are you going?” Sage asked.

“I’m going to go murder people with my bobby pin,” Alvina retorted. “What do you think I’m doing.” she ran over to the vending machine and started to look for the key hole. She quickly was able to find it and bent the bobby pin a certain way, so that it would fit into the hole.

Genna, Charlie, and Sage surrounded her as she worked. After just a few seconds of working Alvina had opened the vending machine. Genna cheered as she grabbed some candy bars, and bags of chips stuffing them into her bag.

“Hey! What are you ding?” a security guard was only a short distance away.

“Guys. Run.” Sage started to run into the nearby brush. Genna grabbed her backpack and followed Charlie and Alvina. They ran into the woods with the security guard too close behind. Charlie and Alvina were both extremely fast and were out of earshot. Sage was enough far ahead to out run him, but Genna was falling behind. She had to make a decision: help Genna or keep running hoping Genna ran faster. Sage wasn’t fast enough. She looked behind and found Genna being dragged away by the guard. Sage kept running.
