Sage woke up startled. The demigods, half human, half god, could only communicate with their parents through dreams, but it was usually only images sent to the minds of half bloods. Sage knew her mother, Athena, gave her the dream she had last night. In her reverie, she saw a girl with long brown curly hair and gorgeous gray eyes. Was this girl her sister? All Sage knew was that she had to find this mysterious girl without delay.
The ground they laid on was hard, but they made due with sleeping bags and two blankets. Each blanket was used as a pillow. One on each side of the little circular earth that was enveloped by a green hedge. Three girls on one, and three boys slept on the other. The sight was just a sleeping place for one night, but it protected them from police officers because of the hedge. Sage rolled over so she was facing the sleeping girl next to her. The small band of half bloods slept in Central Park that night. Sage whispered to the girl, and she awoke.
Chelsea opened her big blue eyes. “Sage? What is it?” The drowsy girl affectionately gazed into Sage’s gray eyes.
“My mother spoke to me last night. She showed me a girl about thirteen years old alone. I think she wants me to help her.” Sage pushed her straight blonde hair out of her face.
Chelsea readily exclaimed, “I agree! Wouldn’t it be nice if she were your sister…or my sister!”
“Chelsea, you know how rare it is for Athena or Poseidon to have a child.” Sage said doubtfully, “Come on, let’s get everyone up.”
Sage got up and tiptoed over to a sleeping boy of fourteen years. He was handsome with brown hair and brown eyes.
“Charlie…wake up, we’re leaving.” Sage said as she was gathering her things. Charlie silently got up and started to get ready himself. He tapped the shoulder of the sleeping body beside him. An eight-year-old with brown hair and blue eyes rose quickly and started to jump over the boy next to him. Just as he was about to jump over the boy again for the fifth time he accidentally stepped on the inactive boy’s stomach.
“Owww! Seth, stop! I’m awake,” the boy said sitting up, “Why can’t anyone else wake me up, anyone but Seth…or Lucy, that would be painful too.”
“Calvin, be careful what you say or I’ll make sure your afterlife is miserable.” Lucifiera said. She is a striking thirteen-year-old girl with long choppy red and brown hair.
“Everyone, my mom sent me an imagine last night of a girl with brown curly hair and grayish eyes. Hurry up and grab your things. Security probably will be circling the perimeter of the park soon. We’re leaving.” Sage unknowingly headed in the direction of the quiescent girl.
As the six rounded a corner in Central Park Seth saw the girl of the description and pointed her out. Under the shady oak tree the girl they found was latent and had long brown hair with blonde and auburn highlights shining in every curl.
“Hey, excuse me! Are you o.k.?” Sage yelled as she ran to the girl. She heard Sage and quickly got up. She stood with her hands in fists ready to fight. She was confused by where she was. She could not remember anything about her life and most importantly, herself. The only things she could remember were two beautiful women that seemed to be important to her and her name.
“Excuse me? Who are you?” Sage asked again when she got close, “I just want answers. I’m not going to hurt you. “
“My name is Genna, and I’m sorry but that’s all I know,” Genna said sternly, “Now who are you? Do I know you?”
“My name is Sage. This is Chelsea.” Sage said. “What do you mean by that’s all I know?”
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think I know you guys that well,” Genna insisted.
