Dinahs POV

"Alright miss-"

"Please just call me Dinah." I said cutting off Mr Cowell. "I dont like being called miss Hansen its too formal." I said dropping my hands back in my hands after using quotation marks. "Alright I will call your parents back in so we can continue." He said standing up.

"Can you not, call them in?" I asked and he looked down at his forms.

"I cannot question a legal minor without their legal guardian present." He spoke heading towards the door again.

"I read somewhere that as long as the guardian knows whats going on and what you're asking then they dont have to be present." I spoke lifting my head up. I didn't want them to be here because I didn't want them to be ashamed.

"And where did you learn that?" He asked a little impressed.

"In my politics and government class." I said and he up his questions exiting the room and going to find my parents.

"Dinah?" I heard my moms voice. "You dont want us to be in here, are you sure sweetie?" She asked rubbing a hair out of my face. What i should mention is my mom is one of the best lawyers in the state.

"I'm sure mom, I'll be fine I swear." I said and she nodded following Mr Cowell away from the room.

"Okay Miss- Dinah can you please tell me the name of the assailant?" He asked getting ready to write the name.

"Jayson Carter Mathis." I said tapping my fingers on my leg.

"Address?" I had never actually been to Jays house before.

"Um I-I don't know." I said stuttering. He nodded and wrote that down too. I thought they recorded everything you said and then reviewed it later.

"Can you tell me how many times this has happened or how long?" He asked again.

"Uhm, a few." I said lying.

"How many is a few?" I looked down.

"More than a dozen." I said quietly. "And for three or four months I think." I said lying. I knew the exact date it started. The day Normani was talking about, when he had his shirt off.

"Did he ever harm anyone else that you know of?"

"No, I don't know think so." I said and he nodded writing it down.

"Is there anything else you would like to tell me?" He asked and I shook my head. "Okay if you will we have to go through some safety procedures to make sure the assailant did not spread anything too you or caused you to become pregnant." He said and I followed him to a room. They made me pee in a cup and then they took my blood too, I don't know why. I went through a lot that day but the worst part was before I left.

"Mr and Mrs Hansen we would like to inform you that we went to Mr Mathis's house and he was not there. He seems to have fled the scene and no one knows to where. We have put it out to be on the look out for him." The detective said.

He was gone?

Actually why the hell am I shocked?!

"Mom please." I said entering my house and sitting on the barstool. After my one on one heart time with Normani last night I thought it would change everything. Apparently I was wrong. If someone gives you their trust you never break it. Ever. I don't know if someone was in danger maybe that's different but I ended it with Jay.
