The door creaked shut behind us Yuu's beautiful emerald eyes darting around the dark hall.
"I can't believe we're doing this." He mumbled.
"You don't have to-" I began.
"No, I want to. Come on, no one's on this floor." He shook his head, prompting me to follow as his speed picked up, figure beginning to shrink before me. I jogged after him to catch up, just in time to follow him down the stairwell.

He stopped at the last step to peer down the long hall, breath catching.
Yuu sighed in relief, urging me forward once more. The thing that made him tense up was a crouched figure who had his ear pressed against a door. His head turned quickly. I almost mistook him for Alan at first glance.
But it was Magnus.
He looked like an older version of him. His face was older, jaw line sharper, eyes a more narrow shape. He had the same brown hair cut shorter, eyes a pale lavender that I almost mistook for a blue.
"Magnus, why are you eavesdropping on Alan and Marco?"
Oh. So that was their room.
"No reason in particular." He murmured, voice deep and flowing like honey. His accent was far thicker than Alan's, but in an oddly attractive kind of way.
Yuuichiro hummed, rolling on to his heels, hands clasping behind his back.

"Alan! Your brother's listening!" He called out, casually heading on his way. I followed him after I saw an angry Alan slam the door open, a half-asleep Marco sloppily putting on glasses.

I did not want to see what came next.

This academy was simple on inner design ways. There was a west and east wing that made up the dorms, each having five floors, the center building containing four floors, where we took classes. A south wing was the gymnasium slash auditorium, and some room I hadn't entered yet. Considering the direction we were taking, I assumed it was that room.

We exited the dorms quickly and quietly, seeing how many teachers were up and about. Iris was one of them, pacing in front of a classroom on the phone, major distress on her face. She saw us and said nothing. Yuu had an idea at that moment, opening a window and crawling out. I followed, standing next to him within seconds. We stared at the sky together for a moment, watching a cloud cover the far away shape we had concluded to be the place I came from. It was a few inches from the moon from where we stood. Eventually he broke the silence by stepping on a twig, startling both of us.

I was the first to laugh. He joined in, laughter lower as he led me along the wall.

We entered the room through one of the tall windows, reaching to greater heights compared to the windows in the dorms and main building. It was an Olympic sized pool, moonlight illuminating the water from almost all directions except for the wall connecting the pool to the main building.

"Are we here because you found me in the ocean?" I asked, raising a brow. He laughed.
"No, but that is a funny idea. You haven't been here. And what's a bigger thrill than sneaking into a pool in the middle of the night?"

"Well, I can't think of anything, so I guess nothing." I shrugged. His eyes brightened, smile blossoming across his lips. It was filled with so much joy that it made my face grow all hot.

"Exactly!"

"So you're just gonna-" I began as Yuu peeled off his shirt. He cut me off with a cannonball, pants landing in my face. I looked down to see him grinning at me, tongue between his teeth. I glanced behind me to the door. No one opening the door or nearing it.

Oh, what the hell.

I tossed my clothing behind me, diving head first into the chemical filled water. My head popped up, gasping for air quickly. Yuu stared at me with some sort of bashful and satisfied expression across his face. I kicked water at his face, wiping both emotions from his face, replacing it with a thirst for revenge. I got hit in the face by a man-made wave created by his arm.
I looked at him with apathy, cocking a brow.
It just made him grin again.

We spent thirty minutes swimming around the pool and fighting each other through water, but we grew quite fearful of getting caught, and it resulted in two soaking wet teenagers wearing underwear tripping over themselves as they tried pulling on their clothes.

We laughed the entire time. I almost cried from it when he tripped over his pants, almost landing on his face. We ran back to the dorms before the security would be making their rounds in the dorms, the sound of our silence being drowned out by the distance sound of waves, and of the wind rustling the trees.

We ran to his dorm, panting in between fits of laughter.
Racing down the halls alongside him.
Watching that smile cross his lips as he stared over at me.

In that moment, flustered and lost in his smile, I knew that this is where I wanted to be.
Despite the loss of memories, of who I was before, I knew.

I belonged here, at his side, smiling and laughing.

I belonged wherever my joy was.

It was with him.

I belonged in this moment.

Was.....

Was this what love is like?

I had snuck away, and gone to earth. I met Corinna in the forest. She excitedly told me about her recent work for the country she was receiving. She was a governess of the United States of America, dealing with many personal matters with the king.

I had my own personal informant in the form of a girlfriend.
"Oh, Lorelei, there was this awesome song I heard today, can I save it to your phone?" I nodded, pulling the foreign contraption from a secret pocket in my dress. Getting it involved accidentally showing off my undergarments to Corinna, but she didn't seem to mind it.

Oh, the phone. Those don't exist where I live, to be exact. I was running a huge risk by accepting it (and the earbuds), when Corinna gave me it as a birthday gift. But I was only able to meet her in person every so often, often confined to 'the castle in the sky', as Corinna nick-named it. My brother didn't like earth nor those who inhabit it. He liked the animals, but that was about it.

It sucked.

I mean, he cared about me, but, at the same time, he didn't.

He despised the one thing that made me happy.

He killed the other person who was previously in that spot.

Yes, he killed his own brother.

Pretty sick, right?

But, in that moment, I ignored my remaining anger for my brother.

Instead, I wallowed in Corinna's excitement as she put a song in my ever-growing playlist, a smile on her full lips as she rambled on about the country's drama.

I savored her kisses.

The thought had occurred to me long ago, but, to this day, every time I talked to her, the same sentence formed in my mind.

I loved this woman more than the world.

My heart was hers.
