The Anemoi are the Greek gods of the wind. I used to not understand that, but, one simple touch from Yuuichiro helped me figure out the answer.

We can change our own position on gravity. Depending on skill, one can make it seem like you're flying.

I was working on that with his help.

In order to activate it, I do not need to be at peace. No, that was not the trigger of it. I had to focus on my destination.

"Did you have to tie me to a tree?" I complained to Yuuichiro.

"Precautions are important." He shrugged, standing up from the ground, hands in his pockets.
I rolled my eyes, turning my head to the night sky. He was doing his homework on the floor, leaning against a tree trunk.

A long intake of breath.

A slow release.

Warm red light from my hand. Yuuichiro's head shot up as my feet left the ground. He gaped, taking my camera, snagging a photo. I was restricted from flying further by the rope around my ankle. So I stood on the tree trunk, hands on my hips.
"Well, now I need to figure out how to get down."
"That's a problem." He nervously laughed. I found myself laughing with him at the situation.

It took fifteen minutes for me to figure out how to get down. And when my feet touched the ground, I was exhausted despite not having moved an inch.

I asked Yuichiro to show me the photo. He refused. I tried taking it from him. He put it in his shirt. I couldn't take it now.

Well, unless I used force. But that's not my thing. It made me nauseous just thinking about harming my dear friend.

"Fine. I just won't shift around you." I pouted, sticking out my tongue.
"Child."
"What?"
"Nothing." He said, quickly and innocently. I flicked his forehead with pursed lips, gaining a small smile for retaliation. "We should probably head back before Tetsuya barges into my room and finds it empty."

"He does that?" I asked, untying my foot from the tree. He nodded.
"Unfortunately. I tell him not to but he's got his own agenda."

Yuuichiro was a strange person to me.

He was always happy. Always laughing, smiling, and blushing.

Always around me.

I will admit this- he made me happy. It might be from the undeniable fact that he saved me.

Yes... Yuichiro saved me.

I never seemed to process this.

He saved me. From whom, I did not know.

I merely know that if someone else besides him had found me- had figured out what I was- I wouldn't be here. Humans held hatred. It was normal.

They envied what I had. A power. An advantage.

But it did not permit violence.

Yuuichiro....

I want to call you something else.
Is that alright?
Your name is lovely.

But I don't want to call you that.

Hm....

How about Yuu?

Would that work?

I'll have to go over it with you.

I've never had someone to love romantically, I had noticed.

I was wondering what love felt like, late at night as I stared at the photos aligned above my bed, which I had pushed against a wall.

My mind gave me nothing. I should have had some understanding of the concept of love.

But it was something new to me.

Something that worried me.

"'What's love'?What are you, a robot?" Iris's laughter echoed through the emptying classroom, the last two students complaining about the Odessy.
She saw my expression and turned serious, leaning forward on her desk.
"Okay, okay. Love. You got a crush on someone?"
I shook my head.
"You're strange. No one?" Another shaking of my head had her convinced.
"Alright then."

"Love is... Different for each person, but similar in some ways. They might tether one another to the ground, to keep them from harm. Their love might be romantic, but they presume it to be platonic. Hell, they might not even accept that they love each other if they hate each other.
"But it's got a certain feeling to it. You might miss a beat in your heart, your stomach might get butterflies when they speak. You might find yourself thinking about them at random times of the day. What their interests are. What they're doing right now. Where they are."
"How do you know if you love someone beside that?"

"Hm. Well, you might enjoy their company, even if one's angry or struggling. When you look into their eyes, despite any situation, you'll just get this thought. 'Yeah, this person's the one'. And they might not be the one. Like a soulmate. But if they're loyal and you still love them, they will become something you can't live without."

"Like a drug?"

She laughed. "It depends. I think lust is the drug everyone talks about. To me, love is an antibiotic. It cures any problem you're facing, or makes you forget about the pain for a little bit."

"What happens if you forget if you've ever loved someone?"
Iris tensed up, staring at me with some sort of recognition. It changed back to softy eyes and relaxed posture. She fiddle with the ring tied around her neck.

"You start over from the beginning."

My heels clicked on the sleek floor. I paid no mind to it, marching up the stairwell to my room. There were the voices of the servants rushing about, of people outside trying to peer through a window to catch a glimpse of royalty. I watched an old maid whom took care of my brother when he was younger swat angrily at teenagers with a broom. She then crossed the hall, entering one of the double doors with spiraling arches. My heart ached merely looking at the door. It almost burst when I remembered his face. So serious all the time, yet so sweet when it came down to me.
He had so much potential.

Maybe he could have surpassed our brother.

But I allowed his life to fall right through my fingers.

All because he wanted to help me.

He wanted me to be happy.

Ignorant indeed was Lorelei in the sky.

For I only wished to love a girl upon the Earth.

Was that too much to ask for?

And was it worth it?

Was his life worth it?

Was it, Orpheus?
