Fred yawned and stretched his arms. He was currently at the SFIT in a class. He didn't really need to show up since he already knew the material. He only showed up to be polite. Usually he read comics but all the ones in his bag had been read dozens of times.
On top of that, he hadn't gotten a lot of sleep in the previous few days. The video game he was playing had been started and finished in three days, which was fast even for him.
Fred glanced across the class room. Since he sat in the back, it was easier for him to hide the fact that he didn't pay attention. He yawned again and he could feel his eyelids grow heavy. He placed his arms on his desk and gently rested his head on top, sighing happily as his eyes closed.

At SFIT, Fred had become quite popular. He was the loud and funny guy who everyone knew. It helped that he was friendly and had an amazing ability to brighten anyone's day with only a couple of words. He also was the one who played the school's mascot so he could always be found around campus.
Lately though, he had begun to think about relationships. There were always couples holding hands or hugging and Fred had decided that he wanted someone like that in his life. His only problem was that being the funny guy, people thought of him more as a friend than a romantic partner.
He didn't immediately know this though. One specific incident continually played through his mind. Several weeks before, Fred was hanging out with some friends as well as one person who he had an interest in, a sweet girl who was deep into comic books and video games like himself.
They had a great time simply laughing and chatting and as time went on, several had to leave. Before long, it was only Fred and the girl left.
"I like you." Fred blurted out. He was shocked that those words had slipped from his mouth and he felt the need to immediately add, "And hanging out with you." She didn't seem shocked at all and didn't even hesitate in her response.
"I like hanging with you too. We'll have to get together with the others to hang again soon. I do need to go though so I'll see you later." With that she smiled and walked off, leaving Fred to sort through what had just happened.

Fred slowly opened his eyes and stretched his arms. He was startled by the lack of light in the room.
"Hello? Anyone here?" He asked. As he expected, there was no response. "I guess everyone went home."
He fumbled with his bag for a minuet until he found a small flashlight tucked into his bag and switched it on. The sudden appearance of light blinded him and it took a several moments for his eyes to adjust. Using the light, he gathered his belongings and strolled out of the classroom.
Fred knew that the quickest way out was through the library so that's where he went. As he walked through the empty halls, Fred secretly wished for something to happen that would give him powers like in the dozens of comics he had read. Much to his disappointment, he reached the large library without gaining a single superpower.
His footsteps echoed over through the books. He made it about half way across the library before he hear another's footsteps quickly come behind him. Before he had a chance to turn around his line of sight was cut off by someone's hands covering his eyes.
"What's going on? Who are you?" Fred said, struggling to push the person away.
"Someone who holds an interest in you." A guy's voice responded. From the tone, Fred could tell the man was about the same age as himself.
"Are you here to start my journey as a hero?" Fred asked as excitement flew through him.
"No. I'm simply someone whom you've never paid a second glance to. I know you want someone to be more than a friend and I am someone who could be that. If you can guess my name, perhaps we can be more." Fred froze. Was this guy serious? His mind raced trying to think of people who might have an interest in him. He knew so many people but couldn't remember them all by name.
"Sam?"
"No"
"George, Frank, Charlie"
"No, no and no." With every wrong name, Fred could hear the poor guy's heart breaking. He kept guessing and kept being told he was wrong.
"I'm sorry, I don't know your name, I need more to go off of." Fred said.
The man removed his hands but quickly blindfolded Fred with what felt like a scarf before he could turn around. The footsteps moved in front of him. Fred then felt a soft pair of lips press against his. The kiss became deeper. When the man pulled away, Fred was left breathless, not only had it been his first kiss, it had been more than he though a kiss could be.
"Come find me at school." He whispered into Fred's ears. The footsteps trailed away and Fred removed the scarf before running after. He exited the library and looked to either side. No one was in sight. Fred looked at the one clue that had been left for him, the green scarf. He had the sensation of butterflies in his stomach and he decided in that instant that he would do what needed to be done to find the mysterious man.
~oOo~
Fred was restless that night. He couldn't sleep and kept thinking about what had happened. Someone actually liked him more than a friend. Now he just needed to figure out who.
The next day he returned to the library and used one of the schools computers to look through the most recent photos of all the students. He found no men with a green scarf though. Of course I won't find him this way, they wouldn't let people wear scarfs for their school pictures. He wasn't about to give up though.
At the moment, his only other plan was to ask his closest friends for help. Wasabi and Honey were more than happy to ask around about which guys wore green scarves.
Several days passed with no luck. The list of people who have worn a green scarf had several dozen people on it. Having no other option, Fred had started talking to them one by one but it was slow progress. Most he could tell right away because of their voice.
He was becoming discouraged. If it weren't for the scarf in his backpack, he would have thought that the events of that night were nothing more than a dream.
A week had passed when he was strolling through the library. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a young man watching him pass. He recognized him as (Y/n) who had been on his list of guys with green scarves. From what he had heard, (Y/n) used to wear one all the time but had stopped a week ago.'
The information clicked in Fred's mind and he knew that (Y/n) was the one from the other night. Fred started walking towards (Y/n). He could see (Y/n)'s surprise at being found out before he started to walk away.
"Wait, (Y/n)!" Fred called. The man froze and turned around.
"What do you want?" He tried to act nonchalant but Fred could tell that (Y/n) was nervous.
Fred dug through his bag and smiled as he pulled out the scarf. (Y/n) couldn't help but smile when he saw it.
"I think this belongs to you. You forgot it the other night." Fred said, holding the scarf out for (Y/n).
"Took you long enough. I was afraid you wouldn't get it." (y/n) leaned in for a kiss. It was every bit as wonderful as Fred remembered.
