You woke in a dark room, your hands and feet bound to the chair you sat on.
"Good you're awake." The voice echoed from the darkness and you tried desperately to get out of the bindings. "You can't escape. You know I can't, especially after what you saw."
"What I saw? I don't know what you're talking about."
"Don't play dumb with me."
"Really I don't know." You stopped as you realized that you didn't remember anything prior to that room, not even your name. "I honestly don't remember anything at all."
Silence filled the room as the voice thought over what you said. "What's your name?"
"I don't remember! Please just let me go." You could hear him walk closer to you before you felt a sharp pain as something hit you from the side. You slumped as sleep washed over you again.
~oOo~
The next time you woke up, it was in a ditch. You weren't sure how you got there. You soon grew certain of two things; you'd been in the ditch for a while, and this place felt familiar.
You pulled your thin jacket closer as you climbed from the ditch. Looking around you spotted a welcoming café, the Lucky Cat Café. You hurried toward the building, wanting to get out of the cold as quickly as possible.
A bell chimed as you entered and took a seat at a nearby table. "(Y/n)? You're alive!"
You felt a tap on your shoulder and you turned to see a tall boy looking at you in shock.
"Who are you?" He seemed taken aback by your question.
"(y/n), I'm Tadashi. We're friends, remember?"
You shook your head. "So my name's (y/n)?" You let the name roll around in your mouth. It seemed familiar but it didn't spark any memories.
"So you must have lost your memory in the fire. Let me help you get it back." You didn't know how, but you knew that you could trust him, even with your life. You nodded and followed him outside to a parked motorcycle.
You rode in silence and you took in the familiar sights around you. Tadashi suddenly broke the silence. "Where have you been all this time? You've been gone for 6 months."
"I don't know. I woke in a dark room, was knocked out and woke again in a ditch near the café. Everything before that is blank."
He took this in and nodded. "Don't worry, I have an idea to help you remember."
He pulled the bike over and pulled you along a secluded path. At the end there was a clearing with a bench and a large rock. "This was one of your favorite places to come. You showed it to me and it became our secret."
"I know this place." You sat on the rock and knew that this had been where you always sat. "No solid memories yet but I definitely remember this rock."
"I was hoping that because this place was special to you, that it would spark something." He sat next to you and leaned over. "Maybe this will help." He pressed his lips gently against yours, letting the kiss linger.
He pulled away. "So?"
"That was really nice but I still don't remember. One thing I do know is that I liked that and I like you." You kissed him this time.
He pulled away and smiled. A light lit in his eyes as he suddenly had an idea. "I have one more idea, follow me."
He led you back to the bike and he raced away. A few minutes later, he pulled up to a college. You got off the bike and were suddenly dizzy when you realized what this building was. It had been rebuilt but you knew where it was.
Fire was everywhere and flames leaped out the doors and windows. Tadashi knelt by his brother then raced into the building. You were close behind him when you saw Callaghan with the controller for Hiro's microbots. He pulled them close forming a shield and the building exploded.
You opened your eyes to see that you were laying on the ground. "Are you okay (y/n)?"
"I remember everything." You smiled and hugged Tadashi close.
"I remember you!" You kissed him and were joyed at your memories you had shared with Tadashi.
You were happy just to be with him.
