A/N: I've noticed that my chapters are unbelievably short. I'm planning to update this as much as possible and finish this as early as possible, as well. Please bear with me. :( I am starting to love the story now.

-----

I charged inside the castle, bloody. Walking past through knights which looked heartless and brainless as well. They didn't mind me walking inside the castle. I mean, I am considered deadly now right? Killed the Trump Card of Diamonds and trying to threaten the King for love.

This is entirely new to me. People say they do everything for love, and I sort of see it why they say it like that.

I arrived at the hoped place, where I behead that man who caged Jason into a trap. Just the thought of it makes my blood boil, all of my blood rushing to my face. Wrath. I guess, I really do have the Liken family line in me.

A family who loves to behead or kill, the Liken family.

"Look who we have here," a familiar voice echoes through my ears. I turned as fast as I can towards the direction, seeing the man I wanted to kill. I wanted deeply to see blood oozing from every opening he has on his body. Just like that. I know I am glaring too much at him, but I guess he deserves it.

"Hi, King Dominic," I taunt to him with a more-or-less arrogant voice.

He lets out a husky chuckle, wearing a wide grin in his face. Why in the world did I respect him at first?

"I certainly remember that your face didn't look like that the last time we met," he cocked his head questioningly, smiling.

Then, I suddenly felt it.

My eyebrows met in such a maddening way. I felt the wrath wrapped around my face. Well, who wouldn't be angry? They took the man whom you wanted to see safe and carefree like he always is, and then it happened. The man who you just knew a few days ago, a man who looked like your unrelated father, will betray you.

Just like that.

I let out an annoyed sigh which broke his happy face. He was clearly hiding the fact that my rude appearance is really getting on his nerves. The fact that he's annoyed by it makes me glad. He deserved it.

"I'll go straight to the point," I pointed at him, arrogantly, and continued, "Where is Jason?"

He raised his eyebrows as a smile slowly crept on the corner of his lips. It's seriously annoying me now. "That is none of your concern."

I scoffed. "It is all of my concern, Mr. King Dominic. It's certainly isn't yours."

He smiled at me, tugging at a chain collar (which I just noticed) real hard. "Don't get too cocky, Ms. Alice. Surely after seeing this, you'll regret being like that," a grin ran across his face. A little more wider, that grin of his will reach his ears.

A 'grr' echoed across the room, making a shiver run to my spine. The king's eyes looked somewhere over his right as I traced his eyes.

Oh my.

A beast crawled out; a half-human, half-lizard. He was glaring at me with such eyes, similar to a snake's. He continued crawling scaring the living soul out of me.

Laughing bursted out, surprising me like hell. It was the king's. "Do you like him?" He asks to me, smirking and all.

"Who the hell is he?" I snapped.

"My trump card," his smile widened, like he can kill anyone, any second now.

My eyes, as well, widened and my mouth just hanging open. I know I killed their trump card. I left him bloody, disassembled. I looked at my hands, yup. They were bloody all right.

"But I killed--" he cuts me off, raising his palm to the air.

"He was weak. Defeating him just like that, isn't he weak?" He scoffed. Weak? He called that weak? Yeah, I managed to give blows, one after another. But, he was strong. Calling him strong is an understatement.

"I guess you need more training, Alice," emphasizing my Wonderland name, I shivered. My opponent here, chained and all, growled louder at me. He looked a lot more skillful than me. Well, admit it. A human like me who knew how to teleport myself and hold a bow and arrow will definitely lose to a man who seems like an lizard with fast legs and strong tongue.

I took a head start, preparing my bow and arrow. The king laughed at my determination. "How about lets give it a twist?"

Metal pounding one another, like something being raised by chains. I looked towards the direction just to see Jason, clenching the bars of the little cage.

"Jason!" I screamed, running towards him. He looked for the source of my voice as he saw me. Relief ran through me. I was so glad that he saw me, I saw him.

But, he winced in pain.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He fell slowly to the ground as I asked him gently. He just smiled at me while suspiciously holding his wrist.

"Let me see that," I yanked his arm and he didn't resist one bit.

Oh no.

His beautiful thin wrists was covered in chain-like marks. So red, I thought it was oozing blood. Anger passed through me. There was no other person who did this.

I quickly shot a glare at the king and aimed at him. He lets out a merry Santa Clause laugh, even after everything.

As I released the arrow, his 'trump card' protected him. He winced in pain as I activated the bomb. The front left arm of his exploded right in front of our eyes, feeling victory upon my heart.

Until we saw him regenerate.

I cussed under my breath as the king finally declares.

"Round 1, Alice," he huskily laughs.

"Oh, bring it on," I answered back, determined to make this baby lizard lay down in the pool of his own blood, wearing a expressionless face.

I really do hope adrenaline gets the best out of me.
