The air escapes my lungs,
My broken hands grasp aimlessly,
Face puffy red and eyes tear in sadness,
My life leaves in leaps and bounds as she hurts me once again.
Legs rooted to the floor,
They scream to my mind,
"Why don't u act, why do u sit here in sorrow"
"And cry your tears,
"And slit your wrists,
"And lie in pain and silence against the deafening roar of my own pain"
My lips respond slowly,
"Because simply you're broken"
"Your life is gone,
She left you hurt,
She left you to wallow in your own pity,
She left you to hurt in the shadows of her happiness"And so I bide my time before I leave forever,
The world slips through my grasp like sands through an hourglass,
The happiness I once knew is gone,
In its place sits a pondering reservoir of never-ending sorrow. And so I leave,
Once again.
