The day spent silent
Wake up late
Stay up later
The chill bites the air
The nip of ice
Pinching at my skin
Amber blush used to fill your cheeks
When it was cold
You'd still be warmI don't have that luxury
Hands stay frozen
Stiffen joints
Hardened knuckles
From years of pummel and punch
And eternity of fights
It's still not over
Endless disappointment in people
Broken promises and poisoned words
Slice like a blade under my skinOne lie
Two lies
Three times
Four
Yet I always fall for it
Each and every time
Because yeah, I'm soft
And you're heartless
Leaving me void
Invisible and unnoticed
You don't see me and you never will again
