Have you ever been with someone you didn't want to be with
I'm a rainbow
She's the calm before the storm, tranquil, peace, and comfort
But I crave the rain
I long for the devastating aftermath
An event I crave, for another I want
She's turbulent, like a hot rain
Not quite a drizzle, but no never hail
She lays a sheet of sorrow over my sleepy eyelids
Yet support them open, omnipotent forever more
The stress creeps at my eyes, dawns an unhealthy pallor of my skin
The grey of pain seeps within me
Chills the bones, wet and soaked
For I crave the rain
The sunshine is beautiful but she mars my hue
We're of two different souls, two shades of the same color
Her and I
I wish her the best as she chases the summer
Because the rainbow only comes after rain
And the rain has left myself droughted
Uprooted with a painful burden
Of a longing heart
