Until then I remain dormant as stone,
And grey as the granite I resemble,
I'll be your guardian,
Your protector,
Your rock,
I promised you that,
'Forever and always'
Remember?
You may hurt sometimes,
You may cry others,
You may die a little on the inside,
And slowly become muted with silence,
But here I remain,
And when you call I'll come running,
To beat and grind into my being,
To bring you the spark to relight your kindling,
The fires of your heart will never remain sullen and soaked with grief,
Just call and I'll be there,
I will be there,
Rain,
Wind,
Storm,
Or sky,
Nothing could dissipate the magnetic pull between us,
I am your rock,
Hard and unyielding as granite,
Grey and chiseled from stone,
All you must do is call,
And sure as the sky is blue,
And grass is green,
I'll be there for you.
