Will
I can't believe my nephew has grown so much. The last time we spoke he was only eight now he is an eleven year old. He has the same eyes and hair color as Ava, which is dark brown, but he looks more like Brian Ava's ex-husband. Brian was a great husband at least that's what I thought he was before he was caught cheating. To think that the person you call best friend would betray you is pretty harsh. Ava never really had many friends after that and well I guess the only right thing her ex-bestie did was resign. Brian on the other hand has become somewhat desperate, always trying to talk to Ava or meet his son more. However Ava has been absolutely firm on the fact that Casey does not need his Dad in his life, believing it is a bad influence. I cant say neither of them are doing the wrong thing because circumstances have led to this. But my problem is not circumstantial in fact it was in my genes. Casey turns the TV off and walks over to the kitchen carefully avoiding my eyes as I watch him while sitting opposite him in the living room. "Casey, "I call to him. He turns reluctantly and says "Yeah?"
"What's up sweetie you have been quiet the entire time." He blinks at me and it is then that I understand, he can't stand sitting next to me, he was trying to get away. " Sorry Aunt Will I got a lot of homework to do. "He says carefully and walks towards the stairs. I never felt so lost in a place that I used to think was like home to me. These feelings were making me frustrated, I needed to drink something.
