Chapter 24
Aiden's P.O.V.
I wait in my bed, for a reply. Worry in my mind, what's happening, she always replies. I jump out of bed and glance at the time, it's |9:43| pm. I text her again asking where she is and if she's okay. She doesn't reply. I tell Dylan and he just calls me obsessive and possessive. Not really the time. I storm out the door while grabbing the keys to my BMW. Running over to her place, the door is locked and all of the lights are out. I see a silver Toyota pull up in her driveway. There's a man driving. He gets keys from his right pocket and walks right up to the door. "Who are you?" I say confused.
"I'm Scott." The man says in a stern voice. I move out of the way and start walking to my BMW knowing something is up. I've heard that name before. Where is Callie? My phone buzzes-signalling I got a text.Thank god. It's from Callie. Please call me. It read. I immediately pressed the call button. She answered. "Where are you, are you okay? This man came to..." The phone went silent, she didn't breathe. "Come pick me up." She whispered. "Okay, where are you." I said calmly but concern piercing through my vocal chords. "I'm at the park." She quietly said, I could tell she was upset. "I will be there soon, love you." That was the last thing that was said before the phone went dead. I zoomed through the streets going to the park. As I arrived and stepped out of the car, she ran up to me, wrapping her arms around me tightly and swung her legs around my waist. "It's okay." I said reassuringly. I fell back into the car. "I will take you home."
"No!" She cried, "He's there. He's got my mum. He's the reason we moved."
I knew I'd heard that name before. The bastard hurt her and her mum. The thought crushing me.
