Chapter 25
Aiden's P.O.V.
We slept in the car not risking an encounter with the bastard of a dad. She cried herself to sleep. I want to kill him. He caused her pain. She's been beaten, she is the result of rape, her mum was used. How dare he. He is going to get what he deserves. But, he has her mum. She begs me not to call the police, so I didn't, I don't know what to do.When I wake up. The sun is shining and the birds are chirping. I had fallen asleep in Callie's arms-shouldn't it be the other way around, I wasn't complaining. I wrap her in my arms, holding her fragile frame. I love the way she squirmed in her sleep, but not now, she was having a nightmare. I slowly caress her cheek and glide my hand over her hair. Even though it was tangled and had knots in it, she still looked beautiful. "I love you." I cooed in her ear. She stopped squirming and fluttered her eyes open. "Morning, sleeping beauty." I said smiling. "Hey." She whispered kissing my lips briefly. "I love you too." She whispered again, holding my jaw.
