CHAPTER  19

She smiled looking at his note, it may be a simple note for others but it was more than that to her. A clearing of throat caught her attention and she looked up to see him swaying his hands in an gesture for her to walk upto breakfast table. She was quite confused with this attention.

"Do you make breakfast today? " she curiously asked. She saw Abhi nervously rubbing his neck.

"No,  I appointed some help, " he said praying that Siya wouldn't blast on him.

"Abhi, we already had that argument. You don't let me pay the rent at least let me pay through this," Siya interjected.

"No, I cause you so much trouble already. Now I want you to just rest, " said Abhi.

"I'm quite capable, Abhi, "Siya argued.

"But I want my dear friend to rest while she can.  Siya, I want to take care of you. I don't know how our friendship was back then,  but I'm gonna make it amazing now too. Please, help me find myself, " he said with outmost sincerity.

So what she cannot have his love,  at least shecan have what he is offering to her,  his friendship. And she would cherish it.

"Okay. Let's taste your coffee then, "she chuckled and sipped it.  The caffeine touched her tongue and instead of tasting sugar her tongue acknowledged the taste of salt.  She threw the coffee from her mouth.

"this coffee is worse than I ever tasted. Abhimanyu Rathore, you're banned from my kitchen,"she threw the cup in sink,  well not literally, and washed her mouth.
Abhi stood there watching her outburst.

"W-what did I do? " he asked in perplex and his face was red with may be embarrassment. Siya,  the girl who hardly spoke to him,  is now scolding him. That was terrific.

"You tried to murder me by adding salt in my dearest to life coffee, " she shouted widening her eyes. For once Abhi looked like he was going to explode

"No.  I added sugar,  or maybe I forgot but please,  I never wanted to do anything to you. Oh my god! I'm so sorry, Siya. Please, do I need to get you to hospital? " he ranted. He genuinely felt bad but suddenly Siya started laughing hysterically. What was damn funny? Abhi grunted.

"Oh my god, Abhi. You're so funny.  I was just joking, I'm not dieing but you sure killed the taste by adding salt. I appreciate the effort. Thank you, " she smiled but again started laughing.

Abhi pouted,"hey that was my first time in kitchen." he excused himself.

"And the last time. I was serious when I said you're not entering in my kitchen. You're disastrous," she shook her head and pushed him out of kitchen.

Abhi was flabbergasted. It was nice to see Siya bossing around.  It's like she suddenly transformed into a new person.

"You're impossible. It's my home," Abhi cried.

"And it's my kitchen. And if you don't get out now then feel free to order food from cafe. I will make Rajma chawal for me, " She sweetly smiled to herself.

"Evil woman, " he grunted and Siya chuckled to herself.
