"I'll see you after the concert ends!" You said with a smile even though he couldn't see you. Jungkook was taking a 5 minute break and he decided to give you a call. "But it's so long!" You could hear him whine, you were sure he had a frown on his face.
You laughed and turned the bedroom light off, "Just keep counting down Jungkook." "You sound like you don't miss me." You but your lip, trying to stifle a laugh, "I miss you!" You tried to sound sad, "I just don't want to keep thinking about it, that's all..." You trailed off. You got into bed and rested against the bed frame. "Oh... I'm sorry for bringing it up then." He apologized cutely.
"I just wish I can celebrate my birthday with you." He said quietly. You were about to reply when you heard Rap Monster through the phone. "Jungkook-ah, we have to get back on— Who are you talking to?" "(Y/n)! I'll catch up quickly. I'll just say bye." There was a sound of the door closing and Jungkook talked, "(y/n)-ah, I have to go now. I'll talk to you tomorrow?" You nodded your head, then remembered he couldn't see you.
"Yea sure." You yawned sleepily. Jungkook's chuckle ringed in your ears, "Go to sleep jagi. I'll see you soon! Love you!" "Love you too!"
That conversation was 2 days ago.
There you were at another country, waiting for BTS' manager to pick you up. "(Y/n) right?" You turned around to see the familiar face of their manager. You bowed and nodded your head, "Yes that's me." He smiled and introduced himself while leading you to the car.
"Does he know about this?"
"Not a single clue." He replied.
"(Y/n)! We have a plan!" Taehyung said excitedly. "Yah don't shout into the phone!" You heard J-hope.
"A plan?" You questioned as you unlocked the front door. "A birthday surprise for Jungkookie!" You were suddenly interested and immediately replied, "I'm in!"
That was 4 days before you had the call with Jungkook. The group members had contacted you secretly to talk about the plan they had. Apparently, during his birthday week, Jungkook had been slightly sad, which wasn't a normal sight. He wasn't really excited for his birthday and he kept saying how he wished you were there.
It was so sweet to hear that and sad at the same time. You hugged your jacket closer to your body as you made your way to the concert venue, ready to give your boyfriend a big surprise.
"(Y/n)!" Taehyung exclaimed, running up to the car. You got out and gave your best friend a hug. "It's been so long! Let's go hide you!" You laughed as he pulled you to the back room. The boys, along with their manager, had ordered a big present box that was able to hide you.
"That's one huge box." You commented as you entered the room. "It's (y/n)!" Jin greeted you with a hug. The others greeted you as well then helped you get in the box. "So what's the plan again?" You did a double check. Rap Monster went over the details and steps and the closed the lid of the box.
Suddenly, you felt the box moving and you knew you were being transported to the stage. The concert wasn't going to start till late night and the boys were preparing for a sound check. Suga made sure Jungkook was sound asleep the whole time you guys were preparing.
"Jungkook! Sound check's starting!" Suga shook the younger member. Still feeing groggy, Jungkook got up and followed his hyung to the stage, still half asleep. The place was dark and Suga was suddenly missing. "Happy birthday to you~" the lights lit up the entire area and the group members came out from the other end of the stage with a cake.
Jungkook laughed as they approached him, singing the birthday song. "What's with the big box and cake?" "It's our birthday present!" They cheered. "Make a wish, say it out loud!" Jin said, "Out loud?" He asked confused.
"Yah maknae just do it." Jimin teased.
Jungkook blew out the candles and said his wish out loud. "I wish (y/n) was here to celebrate with all of us—"
"Surprise!!" A loud yet sweet voice boomed. Jungkook was startled and stumbled back slightly. "(Y/n)?" He squinted his eyes even though you were in front of him. Rap Monster and Suga helped you out of the box and you ran to Jungkook who willingly pulled you into a hug.
"W-When did you come here?"
"This morning!!" You grinned and kissed him on the cheek.
"I've missed you." You laughed and so did he.
"I've missed you too. Why didn't you guys tell me?" He asked his hyungs.
"Then it wouldn't be a surprise, obviously." Suga replied. Jungkook was over cloud nine with you in his arms on his birthday. He twirled you around happily and placed you back down. "Well let's eat the cake!" J-Hope announced and Jin brought in paper plates and plastic utensils and gave it out to everyone.
You were all seated on the stage floor as you all indulged in the delicious cake their manager bought on the way to pick you up. Jungkook nudged you and you looked at him. "That was so evil of you."
You just laughed at him and nudged him back, "Aren't you happy to see me?" "Very happy." He kissed you with icing on his lips. "Hey! Jeon Jungkook!" You exclaimed, wiping the icing off your cheeks. "Oh did you want it somewhere else?" You placed icing on his lips and leaned in to kiss you on he lips. You quickly took icing with your finger and wiped it on his cheek. Jungkook gave a small smirk and quickly pulled you close to kiss you on the lips. "Sweet!" He said innocently and continued to enjoy his cake.
"How did you guys plan this?"
Suga raised his hands and shrugged, "I'm a genius. What can I say?"
Everyone laughed at his reply. "It's true." He defended himself.
"We contacted (y/n) around a week before. When you were in the phone with her the other day? It was already planned." Rap Monster replied.
Your boyfriend looked at you, "That's why I sounded so happy." You admitted.
Jungkook laughed, "Thank you guys. This has been the best birthday so far."
Everyone cheered, "Happy Birthday Jungkookie!"
