"Rise and shine you sleepyhead, we're reaching soon." Your friend shook your body. "Room service already came." You got up lazily, your eyes still half-closed as you attempted to process what was happening.
You and your best friend had decided to go n a short cruise during the holidays and both your parents surprisingly allowed it as long as you girls didn't secretly drink.
You got up to head towards the small bathroom. "You wanna eat outside at the balcony? Enjoy the sea breeze and view."
"I already are you lazy head. Sitting out there is really nice." Your friend said as she went through different TV channels, trying to find one that was interesting. "Right." You laughed as you went to brush your teeth and washed your face.
When you were done, you brought your plate out to the balcony. You were glad you got the room with a balcony so that you could enjoy the fresh air without having to leave your hotel room. "Wow." You breathed out in amazement.
You took out your phone to capture the beautiful view that unveiled in front of you. You knew going to the cruise was the right thing to unwind from your busy life.
You took your time to admire the view and eat your breakfast as you relaxed outside at the balcony, sitting on the chair and staring at the never ending ocean.
Once you were done with your food, you got up to rest your arms on the glass railings as you peered down to see the dark blue ocean. Your friend was playing her music playlist from the room and you started singing softly along, still in a daze from the breathtaking view.
"You've got a nice voice." You suddenly hear a male voice. You jumped slightly, turning to your right to see someone outside at their own balcony. "Oh I'm sorry I didn't know you were out here too." You apologized, feeling embarrassed. He shook his head, still keeping that charming smile on his face.
"It's fine. My name is Jimin." He extended his hand to you. You returned the handshake, introducing yourself as well. "The view is really nice huh?" He said, turning his head back to the ocean. You smiled while nodding your head, also looking back at the ocean.
"Is this your first time taking a cruise?" He asked you. "Yup. How about you?"
"Same here, I guess we're both newbies." He chuckled and so did you. "Who are you with?" You asked him a question this time. "With my group of friends, we got a break and decided that we all go for a cruise together."
"Oh cool, I'm with my friend too!" You smiled at him. Jimin smiled back at you and you noticed how cute his eye smile was. You looked back at the ocean to prevent yourself from staring. "So uh... What's your plan for today?"
"Well we've been to this place already so I don't think we're going to leave the ship. How about you?"
"Same, I've been here countless times so we're just going to explore the ship since it's going to be empty."
Jimin looked back into the room before facing you once again, "Half of them are still sleeping I guess... Some are in the other room. It's quiet so they're most probably sleeping," you laughed softly at that, "Is it alright if we explore the ship together? You know... So we can get to know each other as well? I—I mean i—if it's fine with you."
You nodded your head, "Yea it's fine with me. I'll just tell my friend that. Wait one sec?" Jimin nodded his head and you headed inside the room. "Hey I just made a new friend with the boy next door, is it alright if we go around the ship with him?"
Your friend wriggled her eyebrows teasingly, "Of course it's alright. Go have fun kid." She playfully winked at you, calling you a kid while she was at it. You shook your head at how silly your friend was. "Stop it." You took your pillow at hurled it towards her. "Hey!!" She exclaimed.
Stepping back out onto the balcony, you saw Jimin looking at the sea with a small smile on his face. "Hey," you said and he immediately turned to look at you, "My friend's alright with it."
"Great!" He said excitedly before having a shy and embarrassed expression on his face, "Why don't we get ready now as meet outside our rooms in an hour?"
You nodded your head and smiled at him. "Sure!"
"Is he cute?" Your friend asked as you passed by her to head to the bathroom. You had a smile on your face and she squealed, "So he is cute!!!"
"Stop it!" You whined as you closed the bathroom door. Once you were ready you headed out of your room and Jimin did too around the same timing as you.
"Ready?" He said with a big grin on his face.
"Ready!" You replied eagerly.
"So I was thinking of seeing the sports deck first if it's okay." He said as you two walked towards the lift lobby.
"Yea sure! Maybe I can beat you at some golf."
"You play golf?"
"I've never played golf." You laughed and so did he. "Well I feel very intimidated." He joked along.
"Oh you better be."
Jimin faced you with his charming eye smile once again. "What's wrong?" You asked, feeling a bit shy from him looking at you that way.
"I knew going to cruise was a very good idea."
You smiled back at him, entering the empty lift with him. "I had the same feeling."
"I think we're going to be really close, (y/n)."
You tilted your head with your smile threatening to grow wider. "Oh really? Why is that so?"
Jimin shrugged, his big cute smile and eye smile still on his face. "I've got a very good feeling about you."
You let out an embarrassed and awkward laugh. Once you composed yourself slightly, you realized Jimin wasn't kidding and he also looked embarrassed from saying that.
"Don't worry," you said, getting his attention, "Me too."
