You thought that once you defended yourself, the hate and threats would've at least lessen, but you were terribly wrong. At your school, people would start whispering or blatantly sneer at you, people would leave post-it notes under your table or on your locker, saying bad things about you. Ever since that day, somehow their words began to affect you.

You wanted to re-think about your whole personality, your looks and behavior. Should've you been the quiet reserve girl? Instead of who you are now, Were you to behave like those prim and proper idols?

You crushed your paper in frustration and threw it behind you, making it land on the floor. You couldn't concentrate. You couldn't do your work right or think straight. Ever since, you've been thinking how you should've reacted instead. What would've happened if you didn't defend yourself? If you let them insult your mother, if you let them insult you.

"No, I was right to defend myself." You assured yourself, nodding your head. You received a message from your group chat, it was your group of friends from school. They were asking whether you were fine and what happened after the car ride. They asked if any fans had done something extreme to you. You didn't feel like telling hem that you had a fight with Jungkook.

You were still pissed off that he didn't want you to defend yourself. What did he want? Did you want you to just sit there while they insult you? While they insult your mother? Did his career really mean more to him than you?

A lone tear dropped on your worksheet and you let out a sigh. "I don't want to go to school." You spoke to yourself, looking out the window. You wished you were back home to where your parents were. You missed them a lot now and you just wanted to be safe with them. The next day, you woke up to see that you had received a message from Jungkook.

Jungkook — Hi (y/n), I'm sorry I got upset at you for no good reason. I hope we can meet up and talk to each other? I don't want to end our relationship at all :(

You were so close to replying that you had forgiven him, as your fingers began typing that, your friend approached you with a back hug. "(Y/N)! We all saw the news!" She said, giving you a smile that showed concern.

You nodded your head, "Yea I know... I'm sorry I didn't reply you guys last night."

"It's cool, we know you must be having a hard time with all these hate. Honestly, I wish they all stop."

You shrugged, "Well I guess I better start getting used to it since my relationship with Jungkook has most probably ended."

"W-What?!"

"We fought last night. I don't want to talk about it." You rubbed the back of your neck and walked ahead of them. Your friends didn't say anything about it and changed the subject so that you could stop thinking about what had happen.

Unfortunately, you couldn't.

"Yah, (y/n), I can't believe to said that to ARMY. And you're the girlfriend of Jungkook? I bet you're just using him for fame."

"The only thing she'll get close to for being famous is for being rude to ARMY."

"I can't wait for you and Jungkook to break up. He can do so much better than you."

The insults kept coming at you, loud or soft, you heard them all. You felt that you were going to cry but you couldn't let them win. You were not going to show them your weak side. You never wanted to show anyone your weak side, not even Jungkook. That was your personality.

"All students to report to the hall, morning assembly is starting in 5 minutes." There was an announcement from the PA system. "Let's go?" You flashed a smile at your friends who only gave you a worried look. In the hall, everyone had gathered at their seats, the hall was buzzing with noise — mostly gossip — you.
