"He's so cute!! I seriously miss their concert so much!" Your friend, Sun Mi, frowned as she scrolled through her tumblr feed, squealing over her bias in Bangtan. Mi Ri pressed her phone against her cheek as she sighed contentedly, "Their Gayo Track 2 gives me life."
As your group of friends continued to gush and be mesmerized by the boys, you decided to text your boyfriend. Secretly opening the messenger application, you were careful to make sure no one saw who you were texting.
You — Your fangirls are crazy.
You locked your phone and continued to listen to their conversation. "(Y/N), come join us, don't be such an awkward potato there." You shrugged, "I don't know what to fangirl about." There was a synchronized gasp, almost rehearsed as your friends looked at you in shock. "It's simple, they just take over your whole life and..."
As they continued to talk about fangirling your mind drifted off to the next time you would be able to meet your boyfriend. You weren't sure when was his next break, all you knew was how you couldn't wait to see him.
"(Y/N), you're so weird for not stanning them seriously." Sun Mi spoke. You raised an eyebrow at her, "Stanning?"
They sighed together in unison, "(y/n) is such an alien."
"Are you patrick from sponge on squarepants?" Mi Ri teased as they started teasing you about how different you were from them. Here we go again, you thought to yourself as you sighed out loud. This has been going throughout the week. They had recently attended their concerts and became even more hardcore than they were before. You told them you couldn't join them but you were secretly watching from the backstage. Taehyung and you met during one of his breaks when he played with his cousins outside at a playground nearby.
You were coincidentally there and you guys decided to just talk. At first, he thought you were just some fan trying to use him for fame but he realised he was wrong. Afterwards, the two of you started video-calling and texting almost non-stop to the point that the others would interrupt your video call so that he could get back to practice. Taehyung them properly introduced you to the other members and they had 'interrogated' you. It wasn't scary, okay, scratch that, you were pretty nervous and very scared at first. That was only until you realised how goofy and crazy they were.
Soon after that, he had asked you out and you guys were now secretly dating, of course with the permission from their company and managers. When you said secret, it only meant that your family knew about it. No one else knew about your relationship. This would explain why your friends find you weird.
At first, it was amusing to see them tease you when they didn't know anything. However, right now you were just plain annoyed. As much as you wanted to tell them you're dating Taehyung so that they would shut up, you couldn't. So you resulted to tolerating their teasing ways.
"It's really so annoying." You frowned as you looked into the camera of your phone. Taehyung grinned, "I want to pinch your cheeks right now." You cupped your left cheek, "Why?" He laughed cutely and pretended to pinch your cheeks through the camera, "Because you're so cute when you're annoyed."
You laughed and stuck out your tongue at him, "There goes Taehyung being overly cheesy once more." You joked and he laughed. "But seriously, they can be so irritating. Don't get me wrong, I love them, they're my best friends. But they are so annoying when they start teasing me for 'not liking BTS'. If only they knew..." You muttered the last part to yourself, not wanting Taehyung to hear it.
"Taehyung ah, is that (y/n)?" You heard Jimin's voice in the background. "Oh hi (y/n)! How's life?" Jimin greeted you and you replied him. Taehyung pushed Jimin away, "Hey this is a private call between my (y/n) and I. Go disturb Jungkookie!" Taehyung tried to get rid of Jimin from his dorm room. Jimin waved bye to you and left his room, off to disturb someone else.
The two of you talked more and you decided to call it a day, feeling really tired from the long week of school. "I'll see you soon, TaeTae." You yawned as you plugged in your phone charger. Taehyung kissed the camera, "Good night (y/n), I love you!"
"Love you too Tae." You smiled and ended the call, then headed off to sleep.
The following week was pretty much the same thing. BTS uploaded more Bangtan Bombs and there was more of their 'fangirling sessions' and teasing sessions. You were frankly really tempted to share the secret with them but you knew better.
As the week drew the end, you received a shocking but pleasant surprise.
"All I plan to do is sleep the whole day— what's going on?" You shifted your attention to the group of girls screaming and whipping out their phones to take a picture or video about something that was apparently really interesting.
As your group managed to squeeze through, you realised it wasn't a something — it was the group.
Their song Boy In Luv blasted through their own speakers and the whole female population started squealing and singing along. You had made eye contact with every single one of them who sent you a wink that said the same thing. 'Surprise!'
At the end of the song they introduced themselves and bowed to the crowd. "Oh my gosh this is actually happening!" Sun Mi shook you violently. You just laughed at her but your eyes were locked with Taehyung's. He grinned and brought his microphone to his mouth.
"Thank you all for watching our performance! We hope you liked it! And a boy who is in love, me, shall now go home with my beautiful girlfriend!"
Many of them started gasping and whispering amongst themselves, wondering and guessing what he was referring to. Your eyes widened as you tried to send a message hopefully through telepathy but you knew it didn't exist.
"What are you doing?" You mounted and he just kept his smile. "Let's go home jagiya." You knew it was your cue to move and follow the boys but you were frozen in your spot.
Jimin and J-Hope walked towards your direction and the girls around you, including your best friends, starting screaming r whir names as loud as possible. They reached it to pull you, laughing at you at the same time. "(Y/n) I didn't know you're a statue now."
"Shut up." You murmured to them and they just laughed at you. Taehyung's smile grew wider as you got closer as he draped his arms around your shoulder protectively. The two of you started walking towards the car, pretending as if no crowd was there while the others waved goodbye at the students. Your friends started texting you frantically but you kept your phone away in your bag.
"What is this all about?"
"You were complaining about your friends teasing you and I also felt that maybe it's time we go public." Taehyung kissed you on your nose, "Plus, this will make sure no other boy will try and steal you from me."
"This has been the best surprise yet." You grinned happily at him, kissing your boyfriend on the cheek.
"Yah you two, wait till we get home. Just not now." Namjoon called for your attention.
"hyung don't be jealous." Taehyung teased the elder member.
"I am not jealous!"
"So (y/n), what do you want to do when we reach the dorm?"
"Are you seriously ignoring me? (Y/n) tell him—"
"I was thinking food."
Taehyung nodded his head eagerly, "Jin hung can we order pizza?" Jin laughed and nodded his head, "Just remember to share it with all of us."
"Yes! Don't forget us!" The others echoed.
"Seriously?! All of you?!" Namjoon cried.
