Milos’s pov

The sky started turning a mixture of orange and red as the sun began to set. The time had flown by and it didn’t seem like we’d been here for any longer than half an hour when in reality it was getting late and we’d stayed here talking for hours.

Abby took my breath away the way she spoke, she was so sweet, kind and gentle always putting herself above others yet she was tough strong and unbelievably brave that I wondered how they could all mix into one person, but they did and she was here laid on the ground right next to me gazing into the sky and the sunset

He hadn’t talked about anything major after she dropped her bombshell about her mom hitting her I kept things light I didn’t want to upset her any more than she was and I couldn’t let myself get that angry again, I couldn’t shift in front of her when I was unsure of what she knew. I knew I would have to soon I could hide it from her and she must have some connection with her dad.

Thinking of her dad made me wonder why he disappeared, she hadn’t said he was dead just that he went but she made it sound like he knew he was going. And to give her the necklace something odd must have happened especially when Abby said how close they were he wouldn’t have let her to live like she had been doing without a good reason it just didn’t add up.

As if she sensed I was daydreaming she leant towards me and pecked me on my lips, her moist rosy mouth puckering up to mine all the while familiar sparks passing through me making me almost lose my control and take her there and then and make her mine. I didn’t know how long I could last, I’d have to tell her and it would have to be some time soon. I just didn’t know how. It was going to be the hardest thing in the world to tell her who I really am but she is my mate, she'd come around and accept me I was sure of it. Human mates were really rare and I didn’t actually know anyone that had one, I’d heard my mom talking a few years back saying an Alpha across the country had a human mate but that’s all I heard before she caught me eavesdropping through the door and chased me to my room. Plus I wasnt even sure if Abby was even human, things didnt add up. I really needed to talk to dad when we got back later.

“Milo, we're going to have to go” she sighed rubbing her hands down my chest making me shiver and snap out of my daydream

“Oh ok, do we have to?” I complained I didn’t want to leave her I’d just met her and already I couldn’t stand to be away from her for a minute

“Yeah Aunt Jen just text me asking where I was” she laughed flashing her phone in front of me so I could see

“Oh come on then I suppose I can take you back” I sighed dramatically heaving my backside up of the ground and holding out my hand for my girl

“Come on then” I smirked as I hauled her up bringing her close to my chest making her squeal and giggle

“I’m up come on before I get grounded on my first day at a new school how uncool would that be” she laughed looking up at me through her long blonde eyelashes

“Very uncool” I agreed “How would we hang out, oh I know I’d have to sneak into your window when no one expected it” I said laughing only half joking. There was no way I could not see her and if scaling a house meant I would see her I would do it a hundred times a day
