Chapter 23        

Milo pov        

Growling loudly I glared back at him as he stared up at us, mostly at Abby, his mouth dripping with saliva, his yellow eyes boring into her. She didn’t waver she didn’t falter she stood her ground glaring back and growling loudly as her dad and all the other alphas and beta attacked along with a big majority of our pack.

The big wolf dodged endless attacks his eyes only leaving Abby for seconds before he locked them back onto her. With every attack he edged closer and closer to us until Adams huge black wolf pounced on him taking him out. The two of them embroderd in a massive fight. The sound of their snarling and cracking bones echoing around the clearing. I hoped Adam kept him at bay and away from Abby I hated the way he was staring at her. I sent chills down my spine to know he was here for one purpose and that was to kill my girl. 

#Baby, he’s going to be here soon if dad can't stop him. We need a plan# she called into my head calmly as I stared at her amazed. Her training had kicked in, her alpha gene in full swing as her scent dominated the air.

#what kind of plan# I asked flipping my head round when I heard a twig snap behind me in time to see about ten or twelve wolves sneaking up on us ready to ambush us.

#Abby behind us# I screamed as I took a protective stance in front of her growling, the fur on my back standing on end. They must have been on our trail most of time, the ones we saw earlier were all in the clearing fighting so these must have been other members of his pack.

#Don’t protect me Milo, to take all these down we need to work together. We work best as a team, you get my back I’ve got yours# she said

#Abby, I need to protect you your my everything# I cried into her head as more and more wolves emerged from the trees, I counted over twenty now. All I could think was two against twenty was pretty shitty odds and even though we were both strong I didn’t know if we could take twenty

#Milo it will be fine don’t look at the twenty, take one at a time# she said reading my mind and sounding like a true leader, I nodded and moved forward with her away from the edge

# Together#

#Together# she repeated as we both lunged forward tackling the first few to the ground then standing back to back ready for whatever they threw at us, she was right we did work better as a team, I could feel myself getting stronger. Our powers were linking together as she both shuddered when a surge of strength washed through us both just in time for me to ram one into the other side of the trees

#Holy shit what was that# I called out surprised with my strength

#No idea, but keep it up# she called as she took down two more attacking her, ripping out their throats and spitting them onto the ground
