My dad and I had just moved into our new house yesterday and it's awesome. It's big , nearly as big as Aleana's house. It was a 5 bedroom and a 4.5 bathroom. It had an outdoor pool , a gym , a movie room and a full out attic and basement.

I have yet to unpack , but I guess I'll go ahead and do that today.

I slipped on my dark blue ripped jeans and my black converse and went downstairs to find my dad in the kitchen unpacking.

Me: About how long are we from Aleana and Huan?

Dad: About 45 minutes. Not too long. Why? You miss her already?

Yes.

Me: Nah. She's annoying.

He laughed knowing that I was joking around.

Dad: You two are a weird couple , ya know that?

Me: Eh , maybe.

The doorbell rang and dad looked at me as I looked back at him.

Dad: Well , are you gonna get that?

Me: Why me?

Dad: Cause your the youngest , now go.

I laughed as he pushed me out the kitchen and towards the door.

Me: That's mean!

Dad: I still love ya!

Me: Gay!

Dad: Just like you!

Me: Shuddup!

He only laughed in response and I opened the door. It was a woman holding a aluminum covered tray while there was a girl , about my age beside her scrolling on her phone and a little girl holding flowers standing infront of the woman.

Me: Uh hi?

Woman: Hello. We're your neighbors. 

Me: Oh sorry. Come in.

I opened the door wider and they came in. 

Me: Dad , the neighbors are here!

Dad came from around the corner and smiled at them.

Dad: Hello. I'm Jax and this is my daughter Jenay.

Woman: It's nice to meet you. I'm Helen and these are my daughters Briana and Ashley. 

The woman took the teens phone and the girl was about to protest until she spotted me. I just shot her a smirk.

Briana: Your Instagram is ambitious_hooper right?

Me: Yeah? Why?

Briana: I follow you. Your pretty cute.

I shot my dad a look , basically telling him to speak cause this is getting awkward.

Dad looked at Helen with a smile on his face.

Dad: Well , what's in the pan?

Helen: Oh right. Well , I like to cook so I bought over some barbecued chicken. I hope you eat it. It kinda took me 4 hours to slow cook it.

She let out a nervous laugh which made dad chuckle.

Dad: Well , no worries , Jenay and I love barbecued chicken. 

She let out a breath of release and smiled while handing my dad the pan.

Helen: Then here ya go and I hope you enjoy it.
