Viper's POV:
*flash-forward 6 hours*
We've been on the road for what seems to be an eternity. We still have 4 hours to go. I sigh and grip the wheel a little harder so that I wouldn't fall asleep.
"You can let me driver Viper," Harley said from the passenger seat. "I only drove for two hours. You need rest." She said. I yawn and tell her I'm fine and turn the music up. Metallica played loudly as I sang along to every word. She leaned over and turned the music down slightly. "You know I can tell when something's wrong so what is it?" She said. I looked over at her.
"What are you talkin about? I'm fine." I stated.
"No, you're not. And I can tell." She said.
"Harley I said I was fine I-" I went to say before she cut me off.
"Tell me." She said, sounding more concerned now.
"I just. I can't help thinking about all those innocent people I killed. When the demon possessed me. It wasn't me in there." I sighed.
"I know it wasn't you Vi." She told me.
"You know it, I know it, but they-they don't know it. They had no clue. My face was the last thing they saw. When they died they thought I did it." I told her. My heart shattered and my breathing was cut short. "I don't mean to kill innocent people now, I've just grown accustomed to it. And I know that makes me sound like a heartless bitch but I just, I don't know." I said. Tears streamed down my face but I remained still and calm.
"Viper that wasn't your fault. This isn't your fault. You said it yourself, this is our life now." she said to me. I wiped the tears from my cheeks and took a deep breath.
"Once something like that takes over your life, your actions, you're never the same." I told her. "I'll never be the same." I could picture the way I was. I remember looking in the mirror and seeing the blackness of my own eyes staring back at me. What was weeks seemed like months.
"You're not a monster Vi," Harley said to me. "Of all the people that have cussed me, cheated me, fucked me over, you, unlike those people, never once gave up on me. You never once let me go one day with thinking I wasn't good enough. You are the one that keeps me sane. So you don't get to do that." She cried. I looked over at her furrowing my eyebrows. "You don't get to give up on YOU now. Not now. Not after all the times you never gave up on me. You don't get to give up on US." She stated. Tears streamed down her face. She put her feet on the seat and leaned against the window sighing. "You're all I've got Vi." She said quietly. I felt a lump in my throat grow and the heat of tears stream my face. I didn't know what to say. What could I say? I sat there in silence.
Sam's POV:
Dean was sitting in the passenger seat since it was my turn to drive now. He was leaned up against the window with his eyes closed.
"Better wake up Princess, we're almost there." I laughed. He groaned and looked over at me.
"Did you just call me Princess?" He mumbled sleepily. I just laughed in response and glanced at the speed.
"Heard anything from Vi or Harley?" He asked me.
"No. Talked to Bobby on the phone an hour or so ago." I replied.
"What was he up to?" He asked, sitting up.
"Just a regular house ghost I'm guessing." I said. He shook his head in understanding.
"I hope the girls are alright." I said, looking in the rear-view mirror. I hadn't seen their headlights in a few miles and I started to worry.
"I'm sure they're fine, they're strong girls," Dean said. I stared at him for a second. "Fine, I'll call em." He huffed and pulled his cellphone out.
Dean's POV:
"Hey Vi, you girls alright?" I heard a sniffle before Vi's voice answered my question, an unsettling feeling hit the pit of my stomach.
"Yeah, we're alright." She replied. I could tell she was lying.
"You sure about that?" I questioned.
"Yeah, yeah, we're right behind you guys, we'll see you at the motel alright?" She asked. I smirked.
"We still sharing a room?" I asked. Sam rolled his eyes and laughed as he heard me pestering Vi.
"If you're lucky, Pretty Boy."
I could practically hear her smile over the phone. I laughed and hung up. Sam stared at me, smiling.
"What?" I spat.
"You like her." He replied, wiggling his eyebrows.
"I do not," I rolled my eyes. He was right, but I'd never tell him that. He just shrugged and looked out the window smirking.
Harley's POV:
We were almost to the hotel and I couldn't be happier. After hours of being stuck in the car with Vi I was ready to see Sammy. I knew that the minute I saw him my stress would melt away. Vi and I hadn't shared but a few words by the time we pulled up to the motel. After she parked next to Deans Impala I got out of the car first.
"Harley," she called after me. I turned around without saying anything. "we're good, right?" She questioned. Her eyes were exhausted, her skin even more pale than usual.
"We're good."
I walked into the motel and told the lady that two guys had already gotten the rooms. She asked the info, their names, then handed me a key to Sam's room. Viper walked in shortly after me with our bags, I had forgotten all about mine. It was around 12:30 am when we got there. I took my bag from her hand, giving her my thanks and proceeding to the room while she got the key to Dean's.
When I walked into the room Sam was doing research. He looked over at the sound of the door opening and smiled at my presence.
"Hey Harley." He smiled.
"Hi Sammy," I replied. "I'm gonna go get a shower, alright?" He nodded as I grabbed my pajamas out of my bag and headed to the bathroom. Since Dad was in military mood 95% of the time I had learned to take a 10 minute shower. I hopped out and got into my sweatpants and hoodie. I came out and threw myself onto the bed face first, making a huffing sound.
"You seem tired." I heard Sam say.
"You have no idea." I replied.
"You can go to bed ya know? He said, a hint of sarcasm in his tone.
"I'm good," I mumbled with my face in the pillow. "Found anything?" I asked, rolling over and sitting in a criss-cross position.
"Not really," Sammy replied, turning to face me. He looked at my nighttime attire and chuckled lightly.
"What?!" I asked defensively, looking down at my outfit of choice.
"You look comfy," he replied, smiling.
"I am, thank you very much." I laughed. He smiled at me for a few more seconds and I started feeling a sharp pain at the base of my neck. I smiled back, trying to hide the pain as I rubbed the location of the pain.
My attempt to hide it must have failed as Sam's smile faded. "What's wrong?" He questioned, lines of concern formed on his forehead.
"Probably just a headache," I replied. The pain shot through my brain and I grabbed the sides of my head and winced at the pain. Tears pricked at the edge of my eyes. "Maybe not." I stated. He got up and bent down in front of me.
"Harley what is it?" He questioned with concern filling his eyes. Images flashed through my head and I felt my face heat up. I looked up at him. The pain started to slowly subside as he calmed me, brushing the hair from my face.
"I think my visions are back.."
