Harley's POV:

Viper and I exited the Impala and walked into the motel, telling the man at the front desk that we were meeting people and making our way to our separate rooms.

I walked into Sam and I's dirty shared motel room and sat at a coffee table near the window. The clock near the bed said 11:45 pm. I yawned and rubbed my eyes.

"You ready for bed?" Sam asked, walking out of the bathroom in his pj's. I yawned again and stretched.

"No, I think I'm gonna stay up a little longer and do some research before bed." I told him. He nodded and sat on the bed.

"Just don't stay up too late, Kiddo. Big day tomorrow." He said through a yawn. I laughed and saluted him.

"Sir yes sir."

A few hours later and I was still up, looking for any new case I could possibly find. Admittedly it wasn't very smart considering we haven't even finished this case yet, but I wanted to make sure we had something to fall back on after this case was over. I tried to keep my mind as preoccupied as possible. I scrolled, unsuccessfully, through any reports that may sound remotely sketchy. Being a hunter I've grown accustomed to assuming everything is something 'not-natural'. I started to get distracted by my prior thoughts of Viper and what was going on with her. I could tell she was lying when she said nothing was wrong. My mind went back to a year or so ago, when she was possessed.

*flashback*

"Viper, I'm just trying to help you."

I stood in an empty corridor of a local hospital. Bodies laid all around me, Viper seemingly viewing them as her trophies. She stood, drenched in blood, before me. A black film covering her once greenish brown eyes. I could see my reflection in them.

"Who says I wanna be fixed?" She smirked. "I'm not the big sister you knew, and pretended to love for all those years, Harley."

"You know I love you Viper." I stated coldy, reminding myself that it wasn't my sister saying those hurtful words. "Always have, always will."

"Oh, please!" She laughed loudly. Making my blood curdle under my skin. "If you loved me you'd see the true me." She stated. I gave her a questioning look. "Can't you tell? I like this-" she waved her arms, signaling the ocean dead bodies beneath us. "It's who I am now." She smirked with an evil glimmer in her eyes.

"Then kill me." I said, half regrettably, considering she would possibly take me up on my idiotic offer.

"You?" She laughed. "Why would I do that?"

"You said this is you now, so do it."

"Come on Harley, I'm practically soulless, but I'm not heartless. Nor am I dumb."

"Dumb?" I questioned.

"The minute I kill you I'll have a dozen or so other hunters on my ass." She spat.

"Oh yeah? Like who?" I spat back.

"Seriously Harley? Don't be dumb. Dad wasn't very liked, but he did have a couple of buddies. And we both know you were always the favorite."

"You know that's not true." I said sternly.

"Are we done here? I have to get back to work." She turned around, laughing evilly.

"If you walk out that door," I started as she put her hand on the door knob. "Don't you-don't you ever come back." I stated lowly. Without even looking at me she opened the door and let it slam behind her.

*end of flashback*

I wiped away a stray tear that lingered on my face from the pressing memory. I sighed and shut my laptop. The clock said 3:26 am. I decided to lay down and at least try to get some sleep. Before tomorrow.

Viper's POV:

*dreaming*

The darkness. It's inside of us Vi.

I was staring at myself, standing in a dark alley way.

You heard the demon, it's a part of us.

"You don't know what you're talking about." I stated.

Dean, Sam, Harley, they're all in danger. Because of us.

"Shut up." I spat, covering my ears.

"Viper." A familiar voice stated, although it didn't belong to me. I looked up from my crouched position to see Castiel standing in front of me.

"Cas?" I said quietly.

"Go here. We need to talk." He stated, hanging me a small paper.

"What are you doing in my dream? Why didn't you come to the motel?" I asked, confused.

"It's not safe there." He stated without further explanation.

"Well, then just tell me now." I told him.

"We can't, it's not safe here either."

"Cas, we're in my head."

"Exactly, someone could be listening." He stated. With that I woke up in a scared state, my chest moving quickly with each breath, holding a small piece of paper.

256 West Elmer's Street

Without waking the gang I grabbed my jacket, boots, and Dean's keys and headed for the building.
