Harley's pov:
Sam and I exited the parked vehicle and ran into the police office. I crowed of people surrounded the doorway of the coroners office, where we left Jake. Sam and I ran to the doorway and saw Jake laying on the ground, his body mangled.
"Damn it," I sighed.
"Guess we know where the father is after all." Sam stated.
Viper's pov:
*the next day*
"Hi, I'm Agent Collins, this is Agent Dillon." I stated. Dean and I decided to go to the neighbors house and question him about the 'murder'.
"Hi, can I help you?" He asked.
"We understand that you knew Mrs.Johnson, and may have some information about her case." Dean said.
"Her husband did it, I've told the police this five hindered times." He stated matter-of-factly.
"Sir, with all due respect, her husband has dead for 5 years." I told him.
"Yes, he was did. He's not now." He replied. I nodded.
"Did you ever have any bad run-ins with the Johnsons?" Dean questioned, rather rudely.
"What? You're not insisting that I did this." He replied.
"Just weighing out our options, Sir." I replied, shooting Dean a glare.
"No. Never. In fact we got along rather well." He replied. I nodded, motioning to Dean that we could leave.
Harley's pov:
*later on that day*
I was sitting in the chair, back at the hotel, and I started to drift off. I sat up, sighing and closing my computer. I felt dehydrated and figured it was in my best interest to get a drink from the hotel lobby. Sam was laying down, napping. I closed the door lightly behind me and heard the ruffle of wings and I could sense someone standing behind me. I turned around slowly and saw Castiel before me.
"Cas, what's wrong?" I asked, he looked distraught.
"It's the case. They're not werewolves." He stated.
"Wait, what?" I questioned.
"Demons, witches, they're working together." He stated. "They're throwing you off by using werewolves to distract you."
"But Jake's father-"
"Jake's father was a demon, for 3 years before his death actually." Cas stated.
"His wife had no idea?" I questioned
"He was married to a witch. She brought him back to life, the demon returned to his body, and killed her." He replied.
"So, what's the explanation?"
"The demon 'died', the other witches talked his wife into bringing him back, using a spell." He stated. "The porridge was just a way of them spreading their potion, trying to rise the dead."
"Why would they do that?" I asked.
"Personal gain, I guess. But the demons aren't playing by the rules." He stated. I looked at him confused. "The demons taking over the bodies, after they were resurrected, was never a part of the plan."
"They were meant to possess the husbands, use them to get close to the wife, convince her to by the porridge, and die. Leaving the other dirty work to the witches." I finished for him. He nodded. "And now the demons are rebelling against the witches? Riding around in the undead meat suites and killing the wives?" I asked.
"Precisely." He replied. "Now there are free meat suites, walking around, and killing the wives, or witches."
"So, the wives all turn to witchcraft?" I asked.
"Exactly," Cas replied. "That's the work of the witches. Now the demons are killing the witches off, turning against them."
"That's messed up," I replied, sighing. "So who do we go after?"
"I'm guessing you find the husbands and kill them. Stop the demons." Cas told me.
"What about the witches?" I asked. "They'll continue to make the spell and the porridge and bring more dead people to life."
"No, the last person that died was the last witch, or warlock in this case. His name was Jake, son of the mother that passed away recently. Johnson was their last name." The wheels in my brain began to turn. "There are only two undead husbands living right-" he stopped mid-sentence.
"Cas, what is it?" I asked.
"They're gone." He replied. I furrowed my brows at him. "The demons," he assured. "they're gone. The witches too." He finished.
"But how? What happened?"
"I'm not sure. But whoever did it must have very strong ties to Hell itself. Enough to scare some demons and a few witches." He replied.
I sighed loudly and in the blink of an eye Cas was gone. I felt a vibrating feeling in my back pocket and reached in to get my phone. Viper was calling me.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Harley. I talked to-"
"Cas? Yeah, me too."
"What are you thinkin?"
"Nothing good." I replied. We agreed to meet at a motel in between our two towns and work our way to Bobby's.
Viper's POV:
*a few days later*
"I don't know what to tell ya." Bobby sighed, slapping a book down on the table. "They just disappeared?" He asked.
"Right before I had the chance to gank him." Dean replied. That's when Cas came to visit. He told us the whole confusing story.
"And you're sure the demons didn't just go back underground for a while?" He asked.
"Positive." I replied. Bobby sighed in response and Harley, Sam, and Dean were all talking over the issue. I sighed. And decided to go out and decided to go outside and work on Betty, since I hadn't driven her in forever. I walked out behind Bobby's house and up to my car.
"Hey, Betty. Sorry I haven't gotten around to fixin' ya girl." I sighed, patting the hood of my impala. I raised it shortly after and started looking around. I sighed when I saw the rusty mess before me. "Son of a bitch." I stated lowly.
"Son of a witch, actually." A voice said from behind me. I spun around and my hand grabbed my knife in my back pocket, getting it out slowly.
"Who are you?" I asked. "What are you?" I corrected myself.
"I'm your worst nightmare," he sneered. "Or your greatest advantage, however you look at it." He replied. I stayed silent. He put his hand out and I brought my knife out swiftly. He put his hand up in momentary defeat before continuing. "The name's Crowley." He sneered, putting his hand back in his pocket.
"I'll ask you one more time before I slit your throat. What are you?" I spat.
"I, miss attitude deficiency, am the king of Hell." He replied. I gulped lightly. "Pleasure to meet you, Ms.Remington."
