Harley's POV:

"Harley," I heard a voice say before me. I looked up and my heart caught in my throat.

"Vi?" I questioned in shock, once I had could bring myself to even speak.

"Hey, Scout.." She stated quietly, smiling a little bit. I saw the tears welling in her eyes as she looked at me.

"But, you were-how did you?" I stammered. I had a million questions to ask, but couldn't bring myself to ask any of them fully.

"I don't know," she shrugged. "one minute I was roaming the earth as a spirit and the next thing I knew I woke up here."

"But-are you?" I questioned.

"No, I've already ran all of the tests myself. I'm no monster of any kind. But we can do them again if you want." She stated.

"No, no. I believe you, I just-" I sighed, walking to her and gripping her into a tight hugged. "I just missed you." I stated, feeling hot tears run down my face.

"Me too," she replied, hugging me back. I heard her sniffle and I pulled away slightly.

"Wait, you're crying?" I asked, shocked.

"Oh come on, don't seem so shocked. I'm not that much of a bitch am I?" She laughed slightly.

"No, it's just. Before, you didn't." I stammered again. "Nevermind. Let's just go home." I replied, turning to go towards the car.

"You know," she stated behind me, as I tossed her the keys. "that's something I realized while being dead."

"What's that?" I questioned, standing and leaning on the passenger side of her Impala.

"When I was 'roaming the earth' or whatever, I realized that, in that moment, I was homeless. Not just physically but mentally. I had nothing. I was truly miserable." She stated, looking down for a second. "I realized that even though we bounce around, even though we stay in shitty hotels and eat food that shortens our lifespans, we have each other. We have Dean and Sam; and this whole time, regardless of what it may seem like, we were never in fact homeless." I saw a tear run down her cheek and I looked down.

"I'm glad to have you back," I replied, before repeating my previous statement, with new meaning now. "Let's go home."

Viper's POV:

I really had no idea how I came back to life, at all. I knew I wasn't a monster but the thought still freaked me out.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Harley spoke up from the seat beside me.

"No, not really." I admitted. She nodded and bit her lip in a nervous way. "You know that I don't blame you for-not saving me, ya know?" I asked her. She looked over at me and looked down, nodding her head. "I mean it. There's nothing you could have done. And it doesn't even matter because I'm back now, okay?" She nodded and looked out the window.

I was both nervous and excited to see Dean, Sammy, and Bobby. I know that they're mad at me for the whole selling-my-soul-thing. But I know Dean would have done the same thing if Crowley would've laid Sam's life on the line. I gripped the wheel a little tighter, still uneasy about who brought me back and why.

*about 45 minutes later*

Harley's POV:

Vi and I exited her impala and started towards the motel we were staying at, which wasn't far from the library at all. As soon as we stepped into the motel I saw Viper's face fall as a man smiled at her from behind the front desk.

"Long time no see, Viper." A dark haired man with chilling blue eyes called at her. She faked a smile and nodded. I started reaching for my blade, thinking it was some sort of demon or monster Viper had run across while soulless, or on the other side. "You didn't call me back," he continued. I sighed in relief and put my blade back in its former position. "I was started to think you died or something."

"Ha, nope. A live as ever." She faked a laugh.

"Well I can't help but think about our date," he continued in a very creepy manner, smiling towards Vi.

"Well that's sweet, ain't it Scout?" She looked towards me.

"Sweet enough to make ya puke!" I replied in a cheery voice, holding my hand out with the receipt from my prior check in.

"Well, uh, bye-Viper!" The boy called from behind us.

"Astalavista!" She called back.

"So, a date huh?" I winked and nudged her.

"Look, I was soulless!" She retorted, rolling her eyes. "He was best friends with the biggest black-magic-user in all of Seattle!"

"Wait, you didn't-with him-did you?" I questioned. Her face turned red.

"I was soulless! Not desperate! And I had Dean, why would I wanna do that when I could just do-"

"Viper," a voice stated lowly. I looked up, as did she, to meet the eyes of Dean before us. He was in sweats and an old Led Zeppelin t-shirt. One that Viper often stole and wore to bed. I had to steal it from his room just to wash the damn thing. He wore it almost every night since Viper died. I drove her car, Sam used her journal often when we went on hunts. And Bobby kept her old broken combat boots, that she was wearing when we first met the guys, perched up beside the fireplace. Right where she left them. We all seemed to hold on to Viper in our own way.

"Dean," she replied. She dropped her jacket and ran over to him, hugging him tightly. I heard a small cry escape, but I wasn't able to tell which of them it came from. She pulled away slowly and looked down. It was then that I noticed, and she noticed, that she was still wearing her ripped and bloody clothes. "I'm sorry. I think I got some dry blood on you." She laughed.

"You smell awful.." he looked down at her before laughing loudly, earning a giggle from Vi as well as myself. This was the first time I had seen Dean smile since Viper died. For a moment everything felt "normal" again.
