After hodge had made his presence known, Alec had automatically let me go and shot to his feet, cleared his throat and walked, rather quickly, out of the library.

Hodge then grinned at me, a knowing grin.
Yet, he didn't know what had happened, or, that it was just a hug.

Hodge always teased me about everything. He was my father figure. He's been at the institute longer then I have, since after the uprising.
When I got here he took me under his wing. He saw something in me, even at such a young age, something no one else saw until much later. He saw how strong I could be.

Before they knew who I really was, People who came to stay at the institute always asked if I was Hodge's daughter, with my blonde hair, and the way Hodge and I were so close.

You would think that I would see Robert Lightwood as a father figure, since the lightwoods took me in, but they were never around, always in Idris, never really there, even with their own children.

Hodge, however, was always there, he wasn't able to leave the walls of the institute, because he's an EX-circle member, but he isn't all that bad. Never was. He was just tricked, like everyone else, by Valentine Morganstern.
Hodge thought he was doing something good, until Valentine wanted to murder all downworlders.

Hodge isn't like that.

"Bexley? Have you heard anything I've said?" Hodge laid a hand on my shoulder, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Sorry. Continue" I apologize
"As I was saying, you never gave me a report on your meeting with Camille Belcourt, I expect it on my desk by tonight, along with the report for the meeting with the leader of the New York pack and the high warlock"

"Wait, what time is it?!" I jumped off the couch, i completely forgot about the meetings.
"Eleven?" He said.

With that I shot out of the room down the stairs, trying to find izzy.

"Isabelle lightwood! Where are you?!" I was pounding on her door.

When she didn't answer I flew down the stairs, where I found izzy, Alec, Jace, clary and a second mundane.

"Isabelle!" I screamed as she was about to walk away, they all turned to look at me, izzy had a knowing look, as she knew I always freaked out like this before meetings with the high warlock of Brooklyn. He made me self conscious. Clary looked panicked, by my screeching, Alec went red from our previous talk, Jace just leaned back on the table behind him, and the mundane just froze, his eyes locked on me.

"Izzy! Thank god I found you!" I grabbed her shoulders "I need some foundation! I'm out!"
She laughed and nodded "I'll put it on your dresser"
With that she was gone.

"Hey, little red." I gave clary a small hug, and turned to the mundane "what's with the mundane, Jace? Starting a collection?"

Jace scoffed and the mundane just stared, moving his eyes up and down my form.

"Lewis. Simon, simon Lewis. Two first names. Wow am I still talking?" He rambled on, shaking my hand, causing me to giggle.

"Bexley Raziel Bloodborn. You can call me Bex" I smiled sweetly at him. Mundane's aren't all bad.

I looked over at jace to see him standing really close to clary while they had a quite conversation. Too close for my liking. I'm not sure why it bothered me, I've watched jace flirt with countless girls, heck, I've even set him up with girls at bars. But there was something I didn't like here.

I could feel myself scowl, as I glared, and poor clary turned to look at me and and send my a questioning look and I turned away, looking at Simon.
