"Bexie!" Alec called right as I was about to step through, I looked back at him.
He stepped up to me, grabbing my hand, pressing something small and cold into my grip, kissing my temple quickly.
"I love you. Don't forget that"

Alec's face was the last thing I saw before the portal sucked me in, Alec giving me a soft push into the portal

Alec's face was the last thing I saw before the portal sucked me in, Alec giving me a soft push into the portal.

I was set down in front of the doors of the building I left this morning.
I closed my eyes and breathed deeply, squeezing the cold, metal object Alec had given me.

What did he mean he loved me? He had never said anything like that. He always said "we love you" but never "I love you" not like that.

I opened my fist to reveal a metallic ring. Worn from years of use. Used by an archer, due to the marks the bow string had left in the metal, from the countless times it had scraped the ring. Alec's family ring.
"I love you, too, Alec" I whisper, hoping that, maybe, somehow, he can hear me, as I slip the ring onto my finger.

They had freaked on me

They had freaked on me. Well, Jace had. Was. Jace was.

"I thought you were hurt! Or the clave had found you!" He paced, as I sat on one of the couches.
"Well, I'm fine, Jace" I couldn't help but smile softly at his concern.
"Thankfully! What if you had gotten hurt?" He stopped, crossing his arms.

"Well, I didn't. And I can take care of myself, Jace. I'm a big girl, remember?" I stood, crossing my arms as well.
"Where did you get that?" Jace's face darkened as he looked at the ring in my hand.

"Get what?" I did my best to hide my hand behind my back.
"The ring. That's Alec's ring!" He grabbed my wrist, looking at the ring "where did you get Alec's ring? Why do you have it?"

"Why is it such a big deal? What's your problem?" I jerked my arm out of his grip.
"Did you go see Alec?"
"Why does it matter?"
"Did you?"
"What if I did? You're not my boss!"

"Not this again" Clary mumbles from where she sits.
"What are you talking about?" I snap.
"I'm talking about you two!" She stands. "Why can't you kiss and make up already? It would make it so much easier! We have to go off to fight Valentine! And you are fighting about Alec?"

Luke takes this as a sign to take Michael and leave the room.
"Well what if I don't want to kiss him?" I say and Jace scoffed
"What if I don't want to Kiss you?"
"We both know that's not true"

"Could you stop that?" Clary growls "I'm going to give you two minutes! Then we are going to leave! And you two better have your heads on straight!"

Clary walked out closing the door, leaving Jace and I alone. I sat on the couch.

"Isabelle's in trouble, Jace" I looked up at him, and his face twisted with guilt and worry.
"What? Why? Is that why you left?"
"Someone saw her at the silent city, Jace. And no. I left this morning because I went to see Magnus"

There was no point hiding that from him.
"Magnus? Bane?" I nodded "why?"
"That's not important right now" I looked at him. "Alec showed up, and I set curtains on fire, and long story short, Izzy needs the cup, or she'll be de-runed, Jace. Because of me"

"This isn't your fault, Raz. Don't blame yourself"
"No, I should have taken the blame. I shouldn't have gone with you. Through that portal. I should have been with her"

Jace knew better then to argue. So he just pulled me into his chest, holding me to him.

"I'm sorry" I whispered.
"For what?"
"Everything"

 "For what?" "Everything"

It had all been a blur. A blur of fighting demons. That hadn't been the problem. The problem was Valentine had been Michael Wayland all along. He had killed the real wayland family. Michael and that baby boy. And sent me on my way, or something, I wasn't paying attention. And he had glamoured himself to raise his own son as Jonathan wayland. As Jace.

Jace was Jonathan Christopher Morganstern. Clary's sister. Valentine's son.

After a long fight between the Morgansterns, I was snapped out of my daze.

"You can come with me, Jonathan. You too, Clarissa. You can come with me and we can all five be together" oh no. Don't say what I think he's gonna say.

"Five? There's no fifth. Me, Jace, mom and.. You" Clary spat.
"You still haven't put it together?" Valentine laughed "maybe you're not as smart as I thought"

"What are you talking about?" Jace yelled, rage shaking his voice.
Valentine slandered over closer to me, but Jace was faster.
"You stay the hell away from her" he pointed his blade at his fathers throat.

"That's not possible, son"
"Don't call me that!"
"Do you want to tell him, Princess? Or should I?"
"What is he talking about, Bex?"

"Jace-" I couldn't finish my sentence.

"She's seen the flawed ways of the clave. She's seen that I'm right" valentine grinned, wickedly.
"Raz?" Jace stepped away from me, his face falling.
"I'm sorry" I whisper, playing with the chain around my neck. "I have to. I have to protect you. All of you. Alec, Iz, Raphael, max, everyone. Im so sorry"

"Protect us? By joining forces with the man who's trying to kill us?"
"I'm sorry" I Unclasp the chain. "Please understand. I'm only doing what I have to do"

"Let's go, Bexley" Valentine started to pull me by my arm towards a portal.
"Raz! Bexley!" Jace cried out, moving forward, towards me.
"Stop, Jace, please. Stay there" I slowly crouch down, surprised when Valentine let go of me, I slowly put the necklace in my hand on the ground, standing and backing away, to the portal.

Stepping through, not looking back.
