Just as I got to the entrance, a demon jumped out of nowhere and went after me. Slashing and fighting, I killed it. But not before it slashed my arm with its teeth.
.
"Bex, go! We will meet you there!" I nodded. Knowing I had the cup.

I took off running into the dark. Ignoring the pain in my arm.

I ran through the tunnels, a witch light in my hand, the card in my boot

I ran through the tunnels, a witch light in my hand, the card in my boot. I still had my blade out.

"Bexley?" I heard a voice ask.
"Who's that?"
"It's Me"
"That doesn't tell me who it is!" I shout. "Come out!"

My head was spinning. Something felt off. I just couldn't place it.
"Bex!" There were voices coming from everywhere.
"Help!"
"Please!"
"Help me!"
"Bexley!"

the world was tipping under my feet, but I kept going. I came to six different tunnels. I don't recognize any of this. I was lost.

The voices were getting louder, and growing in numbers. They all said something different then the last. And instead of begging for help, they started saying other things.

"You're a fake"
"No honor"
"You disgrace the New York institute"
"You're a lie"
"Weak"
"Your emotions rule over your mind"
"Dishonest"
"You betray your friends"

I began to sweat. The world was tipping and spinning. My breathing was heavy. My mind fuzzy. The walls began to move closer to me. And the words only got worse.

"You steal the identity of a BloodBorn"
"Valentine's weapon"
"You will be the downfall of the Clave"
"Circle member"

"No! I'm not!" I scream, my hands going into my hair, dropping my blade, tugging at the roots. Wiping the sweat off my face, but looking at my hands after, I realized the sweat, it wasn't sweat, it was the black goo.

The black goo from when I was thrown by that demon. It was seeping from my pours. Gross.

"I'm not! I'm not his weapon! I won't be the down fall!"
My vision blurs. I'm stumbling over my feet.

There are hundreds of voices now. All blending together. I could Only make out what a few were saying.
"You lead Jace on, then throw him away" it was Clary's voice, but with a deep growl behind it.
"No! No, I don't!"
"You give Max a mother, but who are you to raise a child when you don't even know your own name!" Maryse.
"My name is- my name- is- my name is Bexley Raziel Wayland" I scream, so loud my vocal cords hurt.

"You don't deserve our bond" Isabelle.
"Isabelle?" I whimper.

"You broke the clave rules! You should be striped of your runes!"
"No! Alec! I'm just trying to do what's right!"
"You shame the lightwood family! Having friends in the down world!"
"Robert! Please!"

"No matter how hard I train you, you are still weak! The weak link in the chain!"
"Hodge! I'm sorry!"

"You try and act as a mother figure for me? But you don't even know your own mother!"
"Max! I know, I'm sorry, I just want to help you!"

In my stumbling and blurry vision, I saw a figure. It was well built. Strong. Tall.
As it got closer, I could see his face. His blond hair. His golden eyes.
"Jace?" I try to walk to him, but end up falling into the ground.

"Jace?" I call out.
"You are worthless. Weak. Unwanted"
"What? J-Jace?" He was standing over me now.

"No one needs you"
I don't try to reply anymore. He kneels down.
"Especially not me"

Then everything goes dark.

I was in the worst pain I have ever felt

I was in the worst pain I have ever felt.
My eyes slowly fluttered open.
I was being carried. The person was just a silhouette, outlined in gold.
My heart rate picked up, as I didn't know who had me.

"Calm, my child, you are safe. I mean you no harm"

For some reason, I believed what the voice said. The voice was calm and soothing.

Slowly, I was being set down.

"Go home, my dear"

And with that, I was laying in the ground, my vision back, in unbelievable pain, on the steps of the institute.

I stood and looked at myself. I was covered in a mix of blood, dirt, that black goo and some kind of golden liquid.

I stumbled into the institute, to be met with a frenzy of panicked people rushing around. And a voice shouting orders.

"I don't care what you have to do!" I saw the outraged blonde who was shouting. Jace "we will locate Bexley Raziel wayland bloodborn, by tonight!"

His face was red, he was leaning on a desk. Next to him was Isabelle, who sat on a chair, her eyes red and puffy. Max sat on her lap, Alec stood behind her, working on a monitor. And Clary, sitting next to Isabelle, holding her hand, her eyes just as red.

Robert, Maryse and Hodge were in a corner, each on a phone.

I stumbled towards Isabelle, swaying, trying not to pass out from the pain I was in.

"Bex? Bexley? Bex!" Isabelle saw me and tackles me in a hug, causing me to fall.

Everyone stopped what they were doing to stare at me, then slowly filed out of the room. Leaving Iz and I, Alec and Jace, Clary, Max and the three adults who had stopped talking on the phones.

Suddenly, my family came rushing at me, pulling us up, showering me with questions that I couldn't understand.

Everyone but Jace. He just stood, frozen. Staring at me, with a look of shock and relief.

After the chatter died down, they sat me down on a chair, Isabelle not letting go of my hand. And I held on to her as if she would disappear.

"How long?" I looked up at Jace, who still hadn't moved.
"A day"
"A Day" I repeat.

Robert, maryse and Hodge took my absent staring to be a sign that the group needed a minute, and dragged Max out.

"Where did you go?" Isabelle spoke, her voice raw and scratchy.
"I, uh, it's a long story"
"What happened? What are you covered in?"
"I, uh, it's- well, um, blood and demon anchor"

"Are you hurt" Alec asks.
"I'm- I'm not sure" my head was foggy.
"Not sure?" Clary looked worried.

"I'm-" I coughed "I'm gonna take a shower" I stood, walking to the hall.

"You aren't leaving my sight" Jace called out, catching up to me.
"It's just a shower, Jace"
"I'll wait outside the bathroom. I'm not letting you out of my sight" he repeated. I shrugged, walking again.

I opened my door, walking through.

Suddenly, Jace pulled me into a bone crushing hug. "I don't know what happened, but never do that again. I thought you died. Izzy couldn't feel you"

"What?"
"Your bond. She couldn't feel you. She thought you died"
