Carmilla's POV:
"I don't understand why I have to be hooked up to all these tubes Laf. What could you possibly be getting from them anyways?"

"Relax" Laf responds, "geeze I see why they didn't name you 'Chill'milla."

I roll my eyes at the gingers comment. The tubes and needles stuck in me don't hurt, I just hate the feeling of being dissected. I'm not a baby either. I shouldn't have to be so closely monitored. Speaking of babies, where's my Laur.

I look around the room but she's no where to be found. Probably off somewhere with Clifford. Great.

"You doing alright there?" Laf asks.

"Yeah sorry, just looking for Laura. Can you speed this up Mad Scientist, I've got things to do."

"Oh no you don't," they interrupt me, "from the looks of these lab tests it seems that there's some strange black particles in your body. Could possibly even be the reason you're so weak-"

"Tired." I interrupt. "I'm just tired."

"Riiiighhht. Okay. Whatever you say." They respond with disbelief. "Well whatever the case, there's definitely something in you. Nows the fun part. Figuring out what it could b-"

"Right right, go do your "magical" science stuff on your own time, am I free to go or?" I say impatiently.

"Yes yes, leave if you must." Laf rolls their eyes and starts placing drops of blood in different microscope slides.

I pull the tubes and needles off and walk out of the room in search for Laura. What kind of shenanigans could she possibly be getting herself into now. I begin to think to myself.

Checking our dorm first I find Clifford and Laura sitting beside each other going through books. What a lovely sight..

I decide to see how long I could go without my presence being noticed. Crossing my arms and leaning against the door frame I wait a few minutes.

"You don't really think the dean's behind this do you?" Danny asks Laura in a skeptical tone.

"I.. well I'm not sure. Me and Carm had a bit of a run in with a viper a few days ago and.. since then she hasn't been the same. Yes she's my cute broody hard-to-bare but hard-to-be-without girlfriend but.. something seems.. off." Laura says staring at her hands now rather than the book.

Danny looks.. hurt?

Danny places her hand on laura's shoulder causing me to tense up but I roll my eyes trying to block the intense feeling of discomfort inside me.

"It's going to be okay Laura. We're gonna figure this out."

"Thanks Dan-.. Carmilla?" Laura responds now aware of my presence.

"Hey cupcake. Didn't mean to interrupt the little... "study session". "

Danny removes her hand quickly.

"We just took a bit of a break.. how are you feeling?"

"Oh just swell," I say with a sarcastic tone. Laura gives me a troubling look. "I'll just get out of your way now." I say as I walk out

"Carm wait!" Laura yells after me but I'm already gone.

This is childish. Why am I doing this.

Laura's POV :
"I'm sorry Danny, I've really got to go. She's not exactly the strongest right now and I don't think she should be out there alone." I say trying to gather a few things and clean up as best I can.
