"Riley, where are you?" Someone whispers next to me, prompting me to crack open my tired eyes.
"What?" I mumble back, rubbing my eyes again I try sitting up.

A peacefully sleeping Alex has his arm draped over me.

And.
It.
Won't.
Budge.

He mumbles something again before pulling me closer to him.
So he woke me up as he is sleep talking. About me.

I nudge him trying to wake him up.
"Wake, up, you, big, baby!" I whisper yell, prodding his bicep again.
He groans in response before hugging me even tighter.

Okay now it calls for the big guns, I then pinch his nose. He tries to swat away my hand a few times before opening his eyes.

"You really didn't want me to sleep peacefully, did you?" He chuckles his voice still thick with tiredness and sleep.

"I really don't know what you're talking about!" I feigned innocence, smiling widely and the locks of dark hair covering his forehead. I think he's completely forgotten about the fact that it's Christmas Day.

"Well what's up?" He asks sleepily.
"Well one you were calling out for me and two could you see when breakfast is as I am starving?"

"In a little bit. I want to sleep for a bit longer!" He replies, patting the space beside him.

"Alex it's Christmas day!"
I exclaim sighing, before leaning back into his warm arms.

Alex POV ☕️
I've been worrying so much about my plans for today. So much so I didn't catch much sleep last night.

I just want it to be perfect.
I've never been too lucky with love before and the fact that I've found the girl that I love and want to marry means a lot. It's just a bonus that my family adore her.

It's so adorable seeing her and Lou get on so well. She's made Lou come out of her shell a little bit more.

Riley PoV 🙌🏻
Finally I manage to drag Alex down the stairs for breakfast and to wish his family merry Christmas.
Lou runs straight to me when we walk into the kitchen, wishing us merry Christmas quickly before tugging us over to the large Iced Christmas cake. Which is sitting proudly in the centre of the large family sized, polished, oak table.

"This is the cake I made for everyone." She announces proudly, tugging us nearer the table.
Small figurines of ice skating penguins adorn the shining surface of the icing. A dusting of coconut and metallic sprinkles makes the cake look like it's covered in fresh, glistening snow.
The smells of spices and baking assaults my senses as I pass the stove and oven. Probably Alex's grandma cooking up a storm.

Suddenly a cool blast of air flows into the warm kitchen, followed by Finn, Matt and Jesse trundling in covered in snow and warm clothes.

"Have you guys all finished clearing the driveway?" Carol asks dusting some flour off her apron.
"Yes, we have! We also made a gigantic snowman, but it's noseless." He exclaims before frowning at the notation that his snowman lacks a nose.
