REALLY IMPORTANT OPPORTUNITY AT THE END OF THIS CHAPTER!!!!!
No it can't be. "You jerk get back here now!" I yell at the top of my lungs at the retreating Alex. "What?" He asks glaring at me. "This is Maya's shirt she has worn it to class before!" I hiss. I can't believe she's been dating my crush. I thought she was my friend. "Yes it is Maya's!" He says slowly implying that I'm dumb. His hands fist together in frustration and annoyance.
"So you have been fucJing my best friend?" I yell, falling apart inside. She knows how I feel about him. "No you dumbass how many times do I need to say SHE IS MY SISTER!" He snaps glaring at me. What a liar, so he was hiding it from me and now he's lying to my face.
"Stop lying dicqwad."I yell holding back tears. "She's my adopted sister, her mom was my mums best friend and when her father died of a cocaine addiction her mum couldn't look after her. So instead of putting her in foster care my mum adopted her! So next time Riley don't be such a bitxh!" He snaps angrily. He is usually a very calm collected person. I hit a sensitive part of him. What have I done? I never knew any of this and now I've said the wrong things that have messed up everything.
I open my mouth to say something. "We don't need your sympathy, she can tell you the rest when she can trust you!" He says a little quieter emphasising trust.
I walk over to him and I do something so unexpected, I hug him. At first he stands there stunned his muscles clenched, his fists clenched.
His anger still slightly present in his expression and stance. "I'm so so sorry, I guess I over reacted. I can't describe how sorry I am Alex!" I sob into the hug. He looks down and me and lifts my chin up. "It's okay I shouldn't have snapped at you, it's just sensitive talking about it." He sighs painful, looking me straight in the eye.
"Will you ever tell me about it?" I ask, instantly regretting it diverting my mouth in dismay. "Yes, yes I will but it is Maya's duty as well, there's more to it." He replied sincerely walking away.
"Alex wait up, I'm heading out to grab a coffee you want anything?" I call after him trying to break up he awkwardness. "Erm yeah could I possibly come with you?" He asks biting his lip, ladies I know it's an inappropriate time but damn that was sexy.
"Of course grab your stuff we are setting off now." I smile grabbing his wrist and pulling him in the direction of the door. "Gees Riley slow it down a little I've got one shoe on." He chuckles showing his adorable dimples. "Oh sorry!" I blurt out blushing.
"Oh ma gosh, Riley Rosewood is blushing, I repeat she is blushing." He says in a fake high pitched girly voice. "Shuttup before I cut your small as balls off your body." I say menacingly.
"I don't think you want to do that sweetheart you will miss this and the night of your life." He says smirking and gesturing to his body. That egotistical jerkface. I pretend to gag before grabbing my keys and walking out the door.
"Are you gonna stay there all day or come along." I ask over my shoulder, rolling my eyes at Alex. "I'm come hang on a second." He cries rushing after me with his phone in his hand.
As I get in the car, Alex gets a phone call. As I hum to the cd I glance over at him. "Yeah thanks." He says into the phone glancing over at me and smiling. "No, No I'm not, she wouldn't want that!" He says tilting his head to the side and rubbing his neck. "Okay see you later..... Bye love you." He says ending the call and slamming the phone in his pocket.
Let me guess a booty call!
I guess rolling my eyes. "Nope guess again." Alex smiles at me laughing. Shit I said that aloud Kill me and dig me a hole. "Er I don't know." I chuckle awkwardly. "Don't stress it's fine it was my mom." He replies his eyes Crinkling in the corners and a lopsided grin on his face. Thank god, it wood have been so awkward if it was a booty call.
"However." He says annoyed glancing at his phone. "This is a booty call." He says rolling his eyes and picking up the phone. Jesus Christ I don't know how he handles the girl on the phone because all I can hear is a squeaky voice. A mixture of No's and curse words flow out of his mouth. "Holy shit! No I did not get you pregnant we hooked up once 6 months ago and I used protection and you were on the pill don't be stupid!" He yells down the phone. Covering the speaker of the phone he turns to me.
"Can you pretend to be my girlfriend for a moment and talk to this girl she thinks that she's pregnant because she's craving chocolate or something." He says winking and rolling his eyes. Uncovering the speaker and putting it on loud speaker he starts talking. "Hey babe have you got the food." He asks nodding at me to reply. "Yeah baby it's in the bag." I reply before slapping my lips against my palm creating a smooch sound. I'm so immature I know.
"Hey Alex you there?" A screechy voice asks down the phone. "Sorry Hailey we are just busy right now, go and find another booty called who doesn't have a girlfriend." Alex replies confidently, his voice sharp and blunt.
"It's Bailey you jerk!" The girl yells before hanging up. Me and Alex sit there laughing our butts off. "Now let's go get those drinks." I laugh pulling into the carpark of Costa. I'm a costa girl okay don't judge me! (As you already know)
