I am awakened from my deep slumber by crashing on the kitchen area, so I pull my half asleep body out of bed and troop over to the kitchen where a rather out of it Alex.
"Thank god Riley can you help me with this" he says pointing to a smashes glass.
"Alex maybe get some water or coffee you seem quite dazed?" I smile clearing up the broken shards of glass. I wonder how he's coping with the Mel thing.
"Did you know about?" he stutters
"Mel? Yes, unfortunately I walked in on her and her little bed warmer" I reply sending him a sympathetic look.
"Well she does have a reputation" He says chuckling, I smile back at him. I wonder what he saw in her if he's saying things like this, I would have thought he would've protected his self.
"Um and Riley?" He says moving towards me.
"Thank you for everything last night and with the glass" he says giving me a hug which kind of drowns me as he towers above me, I hug him back rather awkwardly.
"It's okay you deserve more than her!" I blurt out, I'm shocked at my own words.
"Really?" he asks with a puzzled look on his face.
"Yes you're a good guy, now I better go get changed and showered." I laugh attempting to escape the awkward situation.

Alex PoV

I watch Riley's retreating figure she's so genuine and so much nicer than Mel who was pushy and controlling. There aren't many genuine girls nowadays. I grab a bowl and pour in some cornflakes and then milk , then grab a spoon from the draw. I sit there pondering about life and about the biology essay which I have to finish which is due in tomorrow.

After I finish my cereal I change into shorts and a soccer top and trainers to go for a run.After I get going I turn on my iPhone and play nirvana jogging to the beats.
After running about two miles I drop my phone out of my pocket and when I go to pick it up I bang into something.
"Im so sorry, it was completely my fault." I start to say looking up.
"Alex? Its okay its Riley" The girl who I now realise is Riley laughs.
"I'm sorry I get lost in my music and I then dropped my phone, actually where is my phone?" I ask Riley laughs and hands me my phone but not before looking at the album on the lock screen.
"Nirvana huh?" She asks slightly taken aback.
"Yep I've liked them since I was a kid, what music do you like?"
"Well I like Eden and the stone roses?" She laughs fiddling with her eating nervously.
"They're different." I smirk, I didn't think she was a kinda girl that listened to bands, this proves that you shouldn't judge someone by their appearance.
"I guess so they, express themselves and make their style their own and I guess that's why I like them." She replies certainly her eyes lighting up at my interest.
"That's interesting most girls would say something along the lines of its good." I muse running my hand through my hair.
"That is kind of sweet Alex." she says pinching my cheek lightly.
We chat about random things until we reach our flat.
"I had a good time, it was nice getting to know you." I say turning to her, looking her in the eyes and smiling.
"Me too who knew you were a closet Lady Gaga fan at seven years old!" She laughs reminding me again of my unfortunate memory.
I smile thinking about what a great yet simple day it has been.

"So Riley I wanted to ask you if you are going to the partyonfridaycauseireallywantyoutogowithmeasthisreallycuteguyinvitedmeandyeridontwannabeonmyownifheditchesme?" Maya asks me smiling goofily.
"Maybe say that slower so I can understand it and so it doesn't sound like some alien is speaking."I suggest slightly baffled by her outburst.
"Okay please can you come with me to a party on Friday please?" she pleads desperately.
"Okay I guess." I reply simply there's no reason why I shouldn't.
"I know it's not your scene but." I cut her off as she hasn't quite caught up with my reply.
"Honey I did say yes!" I correct her calmly.
"Omg thank you you're the best!"She giggles hugging me and dragging me to our next class.
As we walk in I notice my seat next to Alex is taken by a blonde bimbo who is basically sitting on his lap as he sees me he gestures to her with his eyes signalling he needs help.
"Maya I think we are needed to save the day" I say nudging my head towards Alex
"Okay let's go and claim our territory back!" She replies sternly walking towards the two.
When we get to our seat the blonde bimbo is basically laying on him.
"Hello do you mind moving We sit here but it's okay if you're new and don't understand what is what around here!" Maya sasses out at the girl.
"Excuse me but you can't talk to me like that." She spits.
"Do you think you can speak like that to people that want to sit with their friends?" I snap back, although she doesn't even move and she just smirks back. I can barely hold back the laughter bubbling inside of me.
"Well this is my boyfriend right here!" She says reaching for a cringing Alex with peroxide pink nails.

"Baby!" She says flashing fake white teeth as he mouths save me.
Finally he says something as if someone has just slapped him in his face.
"I'm sorry can you get off me my girlfriend and her friend want to sit here and you seem to be in the way." He smirks, finally he stands up for himself without us having to do all his dirty work.
She looks me up and down.
"She doesn't look like much" she smirks while I gasp in shock. I guess something like that shouldn't be unexpected from her.
"Well she does to me."Alex replies and then grabs me and kisses me gently on my lips, before pulling back. I look at him with questioning eyes but he just winks. He stole my first kiss and he just winks, who does he think he is!
The girl then walks away then sits with another peroxide blonde and they start comparing Louis Vuitton bags.
"Got a bit heated there Alex." Maya smirks winking at me as my cheeks turn a shocking shade of red.
Luckily the professor walks in and tells everyone to pull out our notes. As I reach out I look in the corner of my eye and see Alex looking at me and then at his mate who starts talking to him.

This sort of behaviour is strange for him and he seems on edge which isn't like him.

So guys hope it's okay and you can ask me anything about the characters like their personalities etc but sorry guys I won't give any spoilers ask them below Lyl I'll put them at the start of the next chapter💋
