"So let's see, we've got the Russian mafia, MI5, and MI6 trying to locate Stacey, and Stacey's dad with his gang of huntsmen after you." Liam says pointing at a chalkboard with weird lines and photos.
"I'm not trying to be pessimistic or anything but how long exactly are we going to be able to hide you guys? We're hardly high-tech for Pete's sake we're teenagers!" Chris adds in and I give him a look to tell him to shut up.
"Well then it's easy, we don't hide." I say and everyone turns to look at me.
"Yeah sure, give yourself up to people who are obviously more experienced than us in the killing department and try and survive without being killed within 10 minutes," Melissa says sarcastically, pointedly looking at me.
"That is not what I meant."
"What did you mean? We can't exactly let you guys go out there, you'll be killed!" Clara exclaims.
"Well, I'm a trained agent so I wouldn't have to worry about anything, I could easily take out anyone who tried anything on me, Charlie on the other hand..." Stacey says and trails off. An image of the gang member I shot flashes in my mind but I wave it off.
"I mean, instead of doing what they expect us to like hiding and being low key, we should live normally. Off the radar, yes, but not underground all the time." I explain and everyone looks at me blankly. "Okay I mean going to school normally, Stacey go back home we'll come up with a story for your dad and we'll all go back to or normal lives. They can't kill us in broad daylight but we won't be where they think we are at night." I say and I can see the gears turning and clicking in everyone's brain as they start to understand what I mean.
"You mean we should live like vampires except we'll be out during the day hidden during the night?" Chris says and I face palm myself.
We'll be here all day at this rate.

By 8:15pm we're ready to send Stacey out with the perfect story so Chris and I decide to head home.
"Dad's having dinner with us tonight, he's leaving tomorrow so I think he might spend the night at home instead of at the hotel." Chris explains and I nod.
"Hey Spider, can we talk?" I look at Chris and he nods, gesturing that he'll start the car.
"Sure Will, what's up?" I say with a mischievous smile. His lips twitch upwards ever slightly, hardly noticeable but i notice it.
"About earlier tonight, in the lawn?" He trails off. I slowly open my mouth to reply, but nothing comes out and i look like a gaping fish. "You don't have to explain, I just wanted to tell you," he inhales, "I'm into you, and if you're into me the same way then would you like to hang out with me sometime?"
HE'S ASKING YOU OUT ON A DATE! SAY YES!
NO! What if this is a prank?
Well you called that on yourself by kissing him tonight.
"Charlotte?"
"Uh- sorry. Um, yeah I'd love to hang out with you, sometime." I reply and smile at him, then turn on my heel and head to the car.
"He likes me," I whisper to myself. "I think I like him back."
I open the car door and slide in, smiling at Chris.
"Ooh! I know that look!" Chris exclaims as he reverses out of the driveway and out of the gate.
"What look?" I say, smiling.
"The one you have on right now. It's the glowy look girls usually have when they get asked out by the right guy. When's the date?" He says, smiling like a dork.
"I'm not glowing!" I exclaim and slap my hands to my cheeks. "And I don't know, he just asked if I wanted to hang out and I said yeah," I explain.
"I sooo called this! I knew you two would fall in love! It's so cliché!" I stare at him blankly and smack his arm. I looked out the window and watch as we turn into our neighbourhood.
"I think the whole ' fall in love' thing is a bit overboard."
"Mm sure girl, say what you wanna."
"What about you?" I say as we park in our garage and her turns the engine off. "When are you and Melissa going to realised your unconditional love for each other?" I retort dramatically and Chris rolls his eyes.
"she'd never want to go out with me," he mutters and my eyes widen.
"I could fix that!" I reply and climd out of the car, following him up the entrance of our home.
"Not gonna happen, that girl is tough as tits, or whatever the phrase is."
"Tough as nails, and we should bet on this." I correct him and he stops at the door.
"Okay, you get Melissa to want to date me and I will give you back the virtual reality headset I stole from you last year," he says and my jaw drops. I swat him acrros the arm and he grunts.
"YOUR STOLE IT! THIS WHOLE TIME I THOUGHT I LOST IT WHEN WE WENT TO DADS HOUSE!" I shouted at him.
"Well, it's a great way to watch porn, just saying." He shrugs and I smack him again. "You need to stop with the violence. So do we have a deal?"
"Fine. Just saying, this is going to be the easiest deal for me because I already know I've won," I say innocently and flick my hair over my shoulder, opening the door. "Mum. Dad. We're home!".
