chapter 29

"keep your stance, don't let your guard down." robert says as i take a swing at him. 

we have been training like this for 3 weeks. i had more muscle and strength in my body then i had when i used to train. i dodge one of roberts punches then slide under his legs, kicking him to his knees. i put my arms around his neck. i bend down so my lips are about to touch his ear. "ta-da." i whisper into his ear. i stand up and grab a towel from the ropes around the sparring ring and put it around my neck.

 i jump over the ropes and walk over to a table were my water bottle is. i chugged all the water in it. i feel hands slither around my waist and pull me into there commander. "ta-da." he whispers into my ear. i undo his hands then throw a towel at him. "ewwwww your slimy and sweaty don't hug me or kiss me until you've taken a shower Mr. alpha."  i say then throw another towel at him.

 he playfully growls  and starts walking towards me. i giggle then run towards him and i knock him down to the ground, straddling him on the ground.

"i remember you saying that you don't like being on top...." he says. i giggle then i lay down on his chest. "well i can make an exemption for this one time." i put my lips onto his.after a few seconds i pull away and get up and grab my towel back from the floor and walk to the door. "im going to go get lunch..wan't to join me? its burgers today i think." i say to robert. he gets up then hooks his arm with mine. "that would be great."

i take another bite of of my burger. "OMG this is so good!" i say to robert. his hand wrapped around my waist protectively pulls me closer to him. "mm hmm i know, i'v eaten these burgers every Wednesday since the twins became the cooks." he says. i look at him and he chuckles. "you got a little something on your cheek." he puts his finger on my cheek and wipes something off it. i look at him and giggle. "what?" he says. i just keep giggling "you look so handsome when you try to flirt." i say. he gives me a weird look then says "why would i need to flirt with you? your already mine." his phone starts ringing "im sorry i'v got to take this." he says and kisses me on the cheek then gets up from the table and leaves the dining hall.

i give mason a look and then go back to eating.

i put my plate into the pile of dirty dishes and walk out to the hallway,  were a fuming robert is on the phone, i can smell the anger rolling off him like lava.  

"i told you, we need those allies by the end of this month." he yells into the phone. i slowly walk up and nuzzle into his chest. he says a couple words into the phone then ends the call, looking down at me. "they declared a date...the end of the month." he says sadly.  i look up to him and kiss his chest. "let me fight." i say. he growls then hugs me tighter "no, i will never let you, my little  paws, into the line of fighting... i will never let you get hurt." he kisses my head.    "i love you." i say to him. "i love you more." he says.  "i know." i say back.

2 weeks later.

i have been in bed waiting for robert to return from the gym...i left a long time ago. we had been training for 6 hours...because its almost the end of the month. 

'hey hope can you bring down a water bottle for me?' he mind links me. 

'sure.' i reply.

i get up then walk to the kitchen and get a huge water bottle. i fill it then walk to the gym... i walk in and it is totally dark. "robert...?"  i call out fumbling for the light switch. suddenly the lights turn on and robert and a bunch of pack members jump out from behind the sparring ring "SURPRISE!" they yell. i take a step back. but slowly start to smile. "whats this for?" i giggle. robert walks up to me and and puts an arm around my waist and brings me to the pack members "its our anniversary hope." he says. i look at him in disbelief. "w-w-what? i'v been here for this long?" i say. he nods then brings me over to the cake i look at it and it has a cake picture on it of me and him, kissing. 'i love you' is written on it. i lightly giggle and turn towards him "this is wonderful robert." i say and hug him. he hugs me back. i unwrap myself from him and go into the crowd. people are giving me presents and congratulating me. i'm pretty sure i said thank you about a million times. suddenly someone pulls on my t-shirt dress that i was wearing. i look down and Adeline is standing there with a present, with master toddler skills of rapping paper. i chuckle and pick her up. "whats this Adeline?" i say. she giggles then says "i picked it out from the store and wrapped it myself!" she says. i chuckle and say "i can see that! this was very nice of you Adeline!" she giggles the motions for me to put her down. i put her down then bring the present over to the pile of them.
